North Island Track Tour. Basically 3 days including two track days, Manfield and Taupo. Plus a few socila events and a lot of trash talk. Great fun. I think next year might be October. There's also SITT, which is the South Island Track Tour. Teretonga, Highlands, Levels and Ruapuna. That will be March, and closer to 10 days on the road.

What a great weekend. Cool cars and great people without exception - just a privilege to be part of. Best weather we have had yet - the bar is now very high!!

John - the R is epic. 1.44.5 at Taupo and only let down by brake fade after a couple of sessions. It would not take a lot of work to knock a couple more seconds off - better pads, pulling it a touch lower and a bit of work on the geometry. The PDK is a revelation - super fast shifts and almost always in the right place. HD in November will be a good benchmark as we know that track best of all.

Was neck and neck with Chris B so given he managed mid 15's that will be the target with setup unchanged and a dry track. So tempting to play with it though!!

All I can say is you modern flyboys were lucky that the Orange T wasn't there to hunt you down. Now that's fighting talk.

But seriously, it was a great weekend. The SC was a second choice but it might have been the most fun I've had in a Porsche on any track day. One of the slowest cars out there but so much fun and you can see why in their day the old 911's must have been a revelation.

Great day today, and nice to have a few early cars to play with. John it wasn't the same without you. Pete, thanks as usual for organising, awesome work with the weather too.

I reckon it will need to stay mid Sep to early Oct as the race season starts from mid Oct and track availability starts to reduce (or get more expensive.)

If there is enough interest then the option exists to make it exclusively RSG (& invites) which would make dates more flexible. For the last 3 years we have had to share the scheduled date at Manfield with other cars (this year it was the Subaru club) and then work the Taupo private hire around the Manfield date which was set. We managed to get 21 RSG cars to Manfield and about 31 to Taupo. If we could get 40 to each then a private hire of both tracks becomes viable and dates become more flexible. Be interested to see what sort of demand there is for Manfield - the distance seems to put people off - even though they miss out on some of the best driving roads around

The wifely unit expects to be in Europe for 3 weeks from Saturday, 10 September. Unless we can do the NITT that weekend I suspect I'm a no show again

I've already written it off for the same reason but the show has to go on.

Wise, somethings are negotiable but I suspect this one isn't in any way shape or form given the noises to date.
