Safe driving to all those travelling today. Look forward to catching up Sunday afternoon.

Chris, Sam and I are heading off early Sunday. If you're also heading down then and are keen to leave early and take a scenic route, let me know.

Thats what i understand too Pete, but i'd be happy learn otherwise? Longer studs are a very common mod made to support the thicker hubcentric spacers. There are the bolt on spacer's you mention as well, Macca. I'm not sure whats the preferred solution. From my reading the common advice seems to be to use longer studs for any spacer > 7mm

Porsche approve up to 17mm rear spacers for the 964. The only condition is to try and maintain the same track width front and rear., If anything to help the inherent understeer of the C4 a slightly wider track at the front would be beneficial

The downside to using longer studs as i see it is the installation and should you want to run without spacers then either the studs need to be replaced or open lug nuts need to be used

Looks like the red C2 is back up for sale. Deal fell through. Two sides to every story but I've only heard one. Asking price $54.5k

Yes, as a watch lister I received a buy now email from Trademe as well.

I know the top bidder and consider him a man of integrity.

If the car had been as good as Vincent stated in the ad then I'm surprised that the bidder pulled out. The fact that Macca's questions seemed to unnerve him makes me wonder.

Whatever the reality is I think the moral of the story is for both sides to be very clear on the condition of the vehicle being sold. Evidently there was a gap here. It probably would have been better to have a PPI from a respected shop to show to buyers so all were informed, however it was a flip so more buyer beware than anything.

Agreed. Equally, without knowing the whole story, it appears by reneging that the buyer didn't do their their due diligence before committing to purchase. What ever the case it's dissappointng and sad for both parties
