Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?
Macca, I saw 3 Porsches in the first 30 mins of driving and none since. The highways are not worth wasting money on a sports car. That's why the Bank rented me a Honda and not a Cayman I guess aside from the cayman I saw a new Boxster and a 997 Turbo.
Mind you where I'm working is in the wops, as shown by the magazine in the local takeaway

John. I think Queensland must be low rent compared to Victoria! All Landcruisers and Hilux. Mens cars.
That mag had me in stitches. I like my birds young and by foxes without fur so I dont think Id be subscribing to that magazine thanks LOL!

Wont it be great to see a Singer in NZ! At current FX with donor car, freight and GST thats over $800,000. As much as I love them Id rather have a 964RS+993RS....
Peter. Haven't visited 911Virgin site for a while. Interesting. Looks like Cayman R holding at similar prices to 10 months ago when John bought yours (and when I last looked). Spyder looks like it might edge above long term. 993 C2 same vintage as Pauls with a few more Kms asking 55K GBP. Seems about right these days from a dealer tho you couldnt export Pauls at 85K and make any money on it right now. 997.1 GT3 holding nicely and tidy late year SC starting to edge ahead of 964 and into 993 territory which is a definite move up over last 12 months. Your Gen 2 manual cayman seems right on the money market for market too. Small market sample to make such generalized comments I know but interesting to see where we are at.
Right now I see no arbitrage opportunities between any RHD markets so Id have to say that locally 55-65K for 964 C2 MT and 80-90K for 993 C2 MT is about right for market. I see little difference 993 C4 vs C2 manual and around 15% discount on 964 C4 over C2 manual. all IMO of course ;-P

The 993 spent all last week at the painters getting some remedial work done on it following the respray. Just minor stuff and the final buff after the paint had settled.
It's now with Steve Gross getting ready for the weekend

Looking good mate... Mines going back to get the rear exhaust tips sorted. I've never liked how they looked and the right side sits out further than the left. Had RS engine mounts fitted too so wanted to wait for the news mounts to be installed before I mucked around with the tips.

P.s. - don't be too hard on yourself, there are plenty of 964's for you to use as moblie road cones........
