The figures don't appear to be entirely complete. For example no 1995 Carrera RS etc. Also many descriptions on LVTNZ database wrong for example"1969 PORSHE 911" wont show in this report. But its the closest thing we have...

Likely only as good as the initial persons rego description but better than nothing. I'm surprised there are so many 993 in NZ. Probably a personal judgement based on what I see around. I Imagjne many air cooled cars are becoming garage bound.

I agree John. There are about 250 examples of all variants. Thats slightly higher than 964 in NZ. The reason was economics. PAG was almost bankrupt in 1990, the 87 stock market crash hadn't helped and in the early 90s we had the Asia crisis which also affected NZ.

I probably have come across around 100 of the 250 NZ 993 myself in one way or another over the last 15-16 years of being a dedicated fan of the model. However that is not even 50% so the other 150 must be de-register/exported but most likely hiding in garages somewhere. If you look at the stats on this board however, the figures reveal themselves. Last count I did there were roughly 12 x 993 owners (I think that may have fallen by 1 or 2 now) vs 7-8 x 964 (active posters). Thing is the 964s are used more often and their owners take part in more events IMO...

A 928 perspective... Interesting to see how many 928 are in country, a truck load or more appropriately ship load of them as many will be imports compared to 911's. Pity they aren't seen on the road more. We seem to be a bit of a wall flower.
