Gen 2 3.4. Nice configuration. PDK with sports and sport plus. Nothing else competing with it in the market right now or that can be brought in from the UK to undercut it. I suppose they're putting feelers out.

Yes - agreed.

I imagine we will see a few others be slowly built.

No one to my knowledge has done it properly yet (I haven't see Graham's car - so aren't pining for it - out of sight - out of mind), but once a few quality examples are done, I think we will see more........

This has me thinking JMc - I wonder whether Porsche prices in NZ will actually jump up a bit given the same spec car in Aussie or UK will be roughly 50-100% more to buy once converted into Kiwi dollars.

I also expect to see more cars slowly exit NZ over the next few years to realise this difference.

Looking at the number of ex UK cars in our group you'd have to say that the exchange rate change will have an impact on future imports. What's here can't be replaced at the prices we paid, plus cars are going to ground e.g. Where are all the 964s? Of course for prices to go up there has to be demand as well. I have no idea whether the number of buyers is increasing or not.

Economics 101 supply and demand. Given its probable that 2 in 5 Porsches in NZ is are personal import (non NZ new registered) and that demand is stable or even lifting fractionally with population/immigration then I expect prices will at least firm over the rest of the year when the import stock is sold and even go up next year. With exporting (this should become more popular after the upcoming Total 911 article points the crowd of hungry UK buyers to NZ) the total stock number will reduce further the available stock. The UK market hot house couldn't take us there alone but a 10-20% depreciation in the Swiss pacific Franc will certainly help. Prices like the NZ dealer with the Cayman and especially the 991 GT3 for over twice its list price are highly speculative. I don't think anyone will pay 300k for a newly released RS but it's great to get you in the news...

Peter will be happy. Tardme has a 944 race car for sale. Looks like it's road registered. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/spec...-923674877.htm

Maybe the RSG 2k cup racing crew should pick up a fourth car?

It's cheap. So what's wrong with it I wonder?
