Thanks for organising today Paul (and others), was lots of fun, even if it did bucket down. Looking forward to the next one.
How good are those sandwiches!? When I was in the USA last year I tried a few Reuben's, and was sorely disappointed each time - Federal Deli makes one of if not the best Reuben IMO.

Still got the 996.1 GT3, and it's looking perfect as my cleaning guy just gave it the clay bar treatment. I am thinking of selling it though as I'm undergoing a rethink on strategy. Looking to sell 4-5 cars and replace with 1-2 higher value ones.
The M3 CSL went a few weeks ago, RS2 is up for sale and I will also probably sell the Walkinshaw. The 997.1 GT3 RS may also go on top of the 996.1 GT3 if I can track something special down - probably another F car. I've got the new GT3 RS arriving next year I think, so the odd track day will be suited to that car I think.

Sorry to hear that. Sounds like we may loose a couple more GT3 to the UK.
991 GT3RS - Odd track day? Its exactly what it was built for. Spank it I say - bring it down to our Taupo NITT next year, I know Ron, myself, Richard, and Jon (RSG 991 GT3 owners) would love to have it on the track with us...

Bit wet aye? Opposite here. Too hot. After a week in Italy and seeing nothing exotic at all, and I mean nothing except a few water coolers, we drove past the Grand Casino in Monaco twice today on the way to Cannes and got a good fix. Cannes not bad for exotica either but I have more interest in heading to the beach to see if I can can spot some beached white pointers before sun down.

And great work at HD everybody for keeping your machines off the walls! Wet track days hold more peril but they also do more to develop drivers I reckon, making us safer in the wet on road.

Just read the regulations for next weekend. Apparently the enduro is reverting to the old Puke layout - straight through on the back straight without the new long chicane section. seems due to some works in that area which haven't settled.
Gonna make for some high speeds coming into the hairpin with the faster metal that's on the grid.

We then closed the track for an hour and watched Eddie on CCTV. We watched Gary's stash of CCTV 'greatest hits', with Neil and a few others.

Paul, I think this was also a 888 shod car. Maybe the safety checks should have a focus on suitable tyres for the conditions?
Accidents happen and you may have pulled us off the track anyway with the conditions but 47 people missed out on an hour of track time because someone chose to go out on the wrong spec tyres for the conditions. Just saying...

This wet track day conversation has gone on the last couple of years and I say this with the utmost respect so not looking to offend but we're all adults, got our big boy pants on now and you simply drive to the conditions. Its no different to the road. If it's raining heavy you slow down, if its torrential you stop, if you have dry track tyres on stop or swap to wets. I've tracked several times on wet tracks and IMO it all adds to your driving repertoire. I think I'm a much better driver for it and have had the rear out in the wet and mostly know what to do. You can aquaplane you say... sure but usually you know where that is or you can see it so you SLOW down. I've not even driving HD and even I know from all the posts on here there's a flow of water across the front straight in heavy rain. So take it all in perspective... they're trackways not the Porsche Cup where you're racing for points. I wouldn't pull out just because its wet... I'd just drive accordingly and focus on my wet driving abilities.

Yes, well said. The driver in this case is a Targa competitor, not a newbie and the briefing couldn't have been clearer about the danger. That's why I suggested the safety check on the appropriate equipment because the experience and explanation of the dangers didn't get through.
