Thanks Jamie for the heads up on the tyre rack. I went this afternoon and got one. Assembled and fully packed up with tyres and gear it has been a big improvement and packs the tyres away so well , with or without the shelving insert. Just a bit heavy for me to handle on my own so need a few days to recover after unloading it Can recommend to all who desire a bit of order in their garage.

The red is as heavy as the scale goes - 20mm+ on a 6hr accumulated basis. Of course the forecast will be wrong! So long as that front comes through faster or slower we will be ok.

With BB2 I recorded 1.24.97. The fastest I had done before was. 1.26.26 in the Grinch at the one hour masters. Neil did the fastest time in BB2 that day of 1.25.73. I will neatly write my name in white pen

With the R I took it easy at first. The best way to describe it is 'alive'. It wants to turn and I need to learn how to keep it straight. 1.19.56 was my best time today and is the fastest I have driven myself at HD. It definitely has more in it, however I want insurance, track pads and track rubber to make it workable. Best Vmax was 202km/hr which is starting to feel a tad fast.
That time bodes very well for the upcoming 2kCup season John

Well done John, some good times today and stretching the legs of the R would certainly make for a memorable Sunday. Just goes to show how many variables there are to a good lap time on track but 3 degree air and dry track conditions should have given you a bit more power. Late braking is definitely the way to get better times. I noticed this whilst watching Racing Ray at the 800. Late and hard seemed to be the way he did every corner. I thought I was as braking hard, but not like him.

We can only hope Glenn. It was also good to bring the cars back in one piece.

From ACC regards 993:

"Dear Macca

Thank you for your email. We’ve forwarded your query on to our specialist Vehicle Risk Rating team who are looking into it in more detail. We hope to get back to you with an answer by 24 July 2015.

As you may be aware we’ve discovered that a number of vehicles have been rated incorrectly. This means that if you have already paid your rego and your vehicle is affected, then you may have been charged incorrectly. If this is you, we’ll be in touch over the next few weeks to give you a refund.

For more information about the vehicles that are affected, please see our website.

Kind regards,
A"

^^^ Too easy eh! If the logic is irrefutable then I can't imagine they'll want to expend a lot of effort in fighting.

Hey Dave,

Mine were off the first production line, and predictably they ran late, so about a month. If they have their production runs on schedule and possibly have them in stock I wouldn't expect more than 1 to 2 weeks.

Oh, mine got stopped by customs and I had to pay GST (tax & death).

Interested to hear how you go with the scissor lift. I want to drop engines and gearboxes so not sure if they give clear access.

They do. Search the threads in the 993 forum. Lots of discussion there. Just pays to double check on the model you buy. I'm not buying one soon... just on the wish list when $$ permit.
