I had been holding back in the RS60 so that I was in no danger of a dumb catastrophic mistake (like my last wet day with Lola in Aug 14) and after a couple of dry runs could sense the red mist descending. So, with John happy to go I went with him for self preservation. We had to return to HD the next day to pick up Black Beauty so a fair chunk of the weekend was getting spent in and around HD.

I was starting to lose it on the sweeper and plough through turn 2. Trail braking didn't seem to help get the front to grip in the turns. Given the morning we felt lucky to get two good sessions in. No duelling this time although maybe in the RS60 and R as they have similar tyres, if we go to the one on the 15th. No NITT for me this year, so it may be the last chance for a while as the new 2kcup race season starts. Then we can duel it out in the DC2s
What John said :-)

Glad you enjoyed your day Michael and didn't get any unwanted surprises.

991.2 - other than a small nose job - can't really see the difference?

Warwick, and others: another in car camera option has surfaced on kickstarter - very small, but takes interchangeable lenses. This one is relatively well priced. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...ra/description

Might be worth searching eBay and yahoo auctions Japan for the deck lid grill, although the ones I see on eBay are mostly black. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...obalID=EBAY-US

Quote in to refurb a bathroom and separate toilet = $35,000. That's with us supplying the tiles. No breakdown of costs. No wonder there are so many big tradie utes in the Coromandel during the holidays.....

This is why Dorkland houses are worth $2M. The value is underwritten by the cost of replacement.............

If you could just go build one for half the cost, you would.........

Tile supply is only $1-2K? - a small proportion.

But yes, a quality bathroom and toilet reno with tiled walls and tiled shower with frameless glass is going to be circa $30K.

John - you can always move out of Kohi (where acrylic showers and a Placemaker's loo, vanity and tap combo package is acceptable) and get the bill under $15K.

Those of you in the Wgtn area hurry before NZ's only stretch of "Autobahn" is speed restricted.

Yes, it makes sense, but I'm a tight ****. It's not sexy spending and it's real cash that could go on cars

And at the other extreme, I just arranged for someone to swap out a gearbox for BB2 for $150. $50 extra to fit a supplied clutch. Wonder if he does plumbing?
