Your olive drab with charcoal (or black?) accents suit is one of the best lookers out there (custom colours?) but I suppose it must get hotter in direct sunlight. I ended up running with this:

In a perfect world I'd rather have a light front plus dark rear on it, so sitting on bits of track rubber etc wouldn't show too much - but its likely good to see contamination anyway - especially if it's flammable stuff. Apparently some lighter colours of nomex do go a bit purply brown over time but hopefully mine won't.

Buller Gorge was always a favourite of mine the bike, and a stop at Hanmer Springs. Hope the weather's being good to you.

Looking good John. Hopefully Mr Black wont be too much of a road cone for its more sporting siblings

Doug and I have been at this for a while now so I knew it had to be track tyres or lose the 2 to 3 seconds per lap they give. You haven't lived until you are struggling to hold on in corners because the tyres stick to the track like doodads to a blanket.

bit off topic but who do you guys use to get original parts from? i'm guessing not from your local dealer?

I lean towards the following, depending on availability and price, but also try to stick to the west coast as that's where my freight forwarder has most of their storage.

He wants all P1 owners to get out and use them. He just spent two days with one. Very enjoyable watch. The passion is palpable. Video Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9VQ3ROolkyU

Depends on the weight of the parts, eg rotors are heavy and expensive to freight :-(

Just back from the morning run. Chris and Me in a R convoy.
It started out wet and we were both cautious. Then it cleared up and we had some fun, especially up Woodcocks Rd.
Chris' car is stunning in Black. Some nice mods. He has a half cage, Monit, motorsports extinguisher, custom front strut bar and some spacers with what looks like aggressive rear camber. If you wanted to buy a Targa Tour car at a very reasonable price than sorry, it's already sold!
As for Chris, I can see he's a natural fit for RSG. A set of track tyres and he'll be carving up the field.
