Yep, albeit just the IR gun. If you hold it pretty close to the tyre you can still take inside, middle, outside measurements at each corner. I'm really just looking for a fairly even spread of temps to confirm tyre pressures as I can't get more camber. Usually happy if they're within 5 degrees C or so across each tyre. You do have to be quick to do it though with an IR gun as the tyre will cool from the outside first. A probe pyrometer is better, eg Longacre etc - gives you more time and some will save the data as you go.

I take these tread readings before getting the tyre pressures, as those don't come down near as fast. The more camber you're running, the better off you'll be with a probe pyrometer as the outer edges of the tyres will cool down much quicker than the insides on a cool down lap.

After taking the readings I usually drive my car around a bit more to help the rotors cool more evenly.

Not only that, but Ray will tell you that Rot stands for Rottweiler. Only he could say that and get away with it. Suspect that's just his story for the boys and it really has to do with the colour...

Kev drove past at 4:30. You could be right

Meanwhile Herman is ready for the 28th. The Z221s have a lot of track rubbish on them. I must listen to Steve and stay on the race line when coming back in.

Manicure Pedicure. I must have spent too long in expat circles. Good you had no idea, but shopping is still quasi SNAG material unless it's for man cave items.

You have to have plates front and rear in NZ.

Yeah the German Plates are illegal here, as you haven't paid with your arm and leg of the official NZ issued plate! I've also had mine taken off me on the spot once, without fine. But for $100 incl freight to get them landed here, its worth it IMO.

This morning's Leader Road in North Canterbury was stunning. I hand held my iPhone taking some video to share with you. Sorry it is rough as hell but wow what fun. This should be a must for next year's South Island Track Tour touring stage. Thanks Dave (Shiraz) for encouraging me to try this route. Nothing like local knowledge!!

Yeah - not like 340HP is much (You gotta love it when muppets quote others and have never actually driven the cars...??)

Looks like a great road Doug. Have you put it in the RSG Database?
