Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?

Clive Pilkington now has FLY911.
Sounds like a nice honest car Dave. Would be good to see it in the flesh one day soon. I'm think I have a latent desire to own an SC a' la' Magnus Walkers 78SCHR

Congratulations on the new 911 Dave. A late SC was the first and only Porsche I ever rode in as a kid, and my original plan when I first started looking. Love the seat patterns, you'll have to share your Spotify playlist!
On that note, anyone interested in a collaborative "road trip" playlist? Be an eclectic mix I'm sure...

dave you've nailed it with cleaning up the lines on the sc. a few simple moves done well and the idea of keeping it as a solid driver with some good patina makes sense. sometimes it's harder to resist cleaning up something like this than keeping it in 'used' condition. love the pasca interior too. maybe a simple momo 07 upgrade...

Yeah, I said I wouldn't but a momo prototipo, some clear front and side indicator lenses and all red rear lenses seem to clean up an SC nicely. A red car with orange lights doesn't work. Will probably order a rear grille and fittings and get the holes in the rear deck welded up and painted. There's a grand plus already!
Also, would Steve swap the complete lid with whale tail for a std one or maybe someone on trademe?
I'm sure you'll enjoy this machine.

Shipito.com cheapest freight option for 2 tyres from the US was something like $400 for 2 tyres, the same cost as tirerack's freight for a set of 4

Japanese rubber will always be cheaper or same price in NZ compared to USA and UK.
European rubber will be cheaper in UK. Also in USA Michelin have a massive pressing and production plant so non "Porsche N rated" tyres via USA are very cheap compared to NZ. Unfortunately N rated are made in France at the facility there so quite a bit more expensive landed.
There was some talk of another container ex Graemes contact coming over - this would be a good opportunity for tyres - and I know plenty in the group would take advantage of this.
For the 19s Doug I would consider MPSS.

Doug, thanks to Racoguy we ran two ECUs. The Steve Wong chip added 20kW at the rear wheels.
