Thanks for the update John. I think your conclusion is correct and sound. "Save" 30K on the way in to spend it shortly there after (next 12-24 months) and its still not going to have the future appeal or provenance of al local car. Given the market in NZ doesn't seem to be moving much I suspect there are may other opportunities to pursue in the future. No hurry. Got a 1.19 to nail first this weekend ;-)

This has just hit the airwaves. No idea on the outcome for the 991 GT3 but those in the know say its the definitive comparo (although the 458 Speciale and Lambo are twice the 991 GT3 price). Many people have been waiting for this review....must go and get a downloadable edition as my paper one is no doubt in my Auckland PO Box!

I know of a 996.2 GT3 - NZ new, approx 50,000 km's for sale in the Tron. Doesn't get used..........

Discovered this 2 weeks after I purchased the 993........(not sure if this was a good thing or not??)

Nah, we both dreamed up excuses. I put my passenger seat back in as I was sick of not being able to use the car around town and wanted to give John some advantage. Also wanted to get it done with good light. It's a painful job getting those bolts aligned and threaded up.

Put the 17" track wheels on today with 30% worn (ex-Targa Tour) R888s. Looks nice with black wheels :-)
