I would really like to come (really-really) - but need to be at work as handing over 2 new fitouts on Monday 12 Jan. Thanks for the invitation Doug - and you are most welcome to extend again.............
I could make the the 11 Jan drive, but would need to ride shot-gun (hint-hint)
Besides I need Thursday to clean Pete's car..............

I hadn't seen it before, i look more at the GT3 cars. Interesting what you say about c4 vs c2. Should be one to follow
Mr Black just ticked over 100000 miles yesterday. A milestone reached for the old boy. I wanted to take a pic but got caught up in the driving and forgot. Oh well, i'll look forward to 200000 milestone

Heh, couldn't resist saying "something" about the merc driver. Looking forward to adding the RS60 after tomorrow. Right now I feel like a kid at Christmas eve. Meet the owners and car in chch at 8am tomorrow then off to Archibalds for a brief PPI (mainly to get her on a hoist for a good look underneath) then a run North the long way to Kaikoura with David (shiraz) and on to Picton for the night.

Carrera 3.2's are the same - they just don't get advertised....

Paul I'm pretty sure you can passenger with any of us on the 11th. I'm taking the 993 and your welcome to be in the jump seat, just skip breakfast! I'm not sure who we have right now just Chris B and maybe Sam at this stage....

Speaking of skipping breakfast, I might start off in the Red Ragtop on Wednesday to avoid a 'Mende' incident!

Not too much to fear John - I'm not group leader on Wednesday and Paul won't be chasing me so it should be at a pace that doesn't threaten stomach contents lol...

New Year
Finally got around to re-installing a performance chip that came with the car. The previous owner put the original chip back. Unsure why, said something about rough idle? Anyways new year research: understanding the ROW 1996 993, DME, OBD, O2 sensors, and unravelling all the RL USA OBD2 and CO2 nonsense (very confusing), and finally working out exactly what I had under the pax seat. (Should have done this when I put Macca's seats in - doh).
Anyways, Chip installed, and did the test drive. It might be placebo, but IMHO the car responded much lower down the rev range and took off, big smile. The Littles Rd hill test (17% steep with a sweeper) much more power and drive through the corner. (A must when in QT). Idle seemed fine to me. Now waiting for the Fabspeed kit to arrive.
