Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?
I think you covered John pretty well
My take is:
John: Isn't seen at the track for quite a while, as he's too busy swapping parts between his different Porsches, including the mysterious 4th Porsche that he finally settles on (a poo brown 914) after changing his mind regularly for six months. When he does finally turn up he's in Herman and has no interest in BB, he just wants to race Lola. He amazes everyone by doing a 1:16 (Doug bursts into tears and cries himself to sleep that night). The truth doesn't come out until his Turbo 3.6 appears for sale on TradeMe, with no engine. (Paul buys it anyway, and alternates between polishing it with his drool and sitting in it making "brrrrrmmmm brrrrrmmmm pssssh" noises.)
Pete: Starts off quickly but is passed by Lola at turn 2. This brings on the red mist -- in Pete's case this is the realisation that it's been longer than 6 months since he's owned a red 964. He's consumed by the all-encompassing need to have another one, and manages to catch Lola a couple of corners later and pulls off a mid-track carjacking. He's last seen being chased by police up SH1.

Phil, nicely un-PC... I giggled like a little girl
Ha ha ha, so true
More seriously, I hope BB is still around when I'm next at a Playday. Having something slightly quicker to chase will be a lot of fun and might inspire me to better times.
You're too kind. Unfortunately I don't know everyone in the RSG Beater Cup well enough to give them a gentle windup I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself at the Sprints day -- I didn't put two and two together about who you were until afterwards.
Michael turns up to HD with James in tow. Insists he goes out first and with James in a car seat fitted to BB's back seat.
James projectile vomits on turn 4 and lays an egg just before barrel 51 (Scared to death as Dad never goes this fast). Michael pulls into the kitty litter to deal to the 'egg' but can't deal with this morning's half digested pumpkin purée and milk mix.
5 Minutes later Michael pulls into pit lane never having completed a full lap. He declares disbelief that BB can go faster than the mighty 944 and as no one can run in the car on the day post vomit and egg he can leave the day with this belief intact.

Safe to joke about it now since they're onto mine big time (and some of the delay was mine). Will look out for you at the coming karts/sprints/gymkhana days.
I suspect my BB lap would end in a large turn 10 puddle and a flatbed to CCS where BB would become a permanent yard decoration... Safe to joke about it now since they're onto mine big time (and some of the delay was mine). Will look out for you at the coming karts/sprints/gymkhana days.

BTW the FB 964 page has 9,000 members. The number of modded cars out there is incredible. Doug, keep Lola original.
Hoping to do the Ron's run on the 20th.
Today we set off in the wind to Wellington and back with a tandem axle furniture trailer full of my son and his girl friends furniture. The cayenne is an awesome tow vehicle so the wind won't bother us much.
Just got to get CCS to help with getting the cayenne to power the LED lights on the hire trailer. Currently they just flash rapidly dimly :-(

I think the 993 brigade would more likely be the ones with the quivery lip if John pulled a 1.16. You'd have Macca and I at the mod shop faster than Macca can hit the 'buy now' button on a pair of loafers. We quite enjoy our 3 sec advantage despise basically having the same running gear. Must be that 6th gear and x-drilled rotors that make the difference??
You just need to do Matt, Walt, Sam and Chris x 2
