John, have you thought about plasti dipping your Fuchs centres black?
Nik, it's been suggested a few times. Usually by Paul. He has a black Fuchs thing going on. I have my Frankenstein D90s to go with the black centre look
What's the history of this car?? (if you don't mind me asking).
No, I wish.
the history I believe is it was imported from HKG.
The car is my cousin's, he brought it, put it into storage, and moved to the UK. pretty boring really.
Im looking at picking up a C4 as my own project in a few weeks time.

fair enough call there, I do get all the hand-me-down parts from the RS to put into the C4.
I think if lap times are being quoted, we need to be very careful and very specific about what configuration is used with those times, otherwise it's going to result in misunderstanding.
Agreed Matt, but I think RSG times we quote tend to be 'best ever' possible within our cars (with everything aligned in our favor)
I see no reason why we shouldn't to do the same with race cars as we are not running in a controlled series. Given you can race whatever you like with whatever tyres you like in the Porsche Series, Arrow's etc, we can probably quote the same too, as there are no limits for any of us other than speed bars??
Hankook F200s. The Z214 is a road carcass DOT tyre, not a real race slick. Very different construction and behaviour.
Depends on sizes and options - people race with whatever they can get. Talking to the race committee last night, most said they where running 214's. I can only take the word of the guys there??
Yes, thus the rule changes to allow race slicks to be used in the series. Which then resulted in others cars also using them.
The greater reason for the rule change to any tyre is 'inclusion' rather than 'exclusion'. The race committee didn't want people not racing as they had a stash of 'other brand' tyres they couldn't use or because they couldn't get a certain Hankook tyre for their wheel size (i.e. 44 guys running on 16's can't get 221's, so have to use 214's)
