Here's how you keep ahead of Lola:
1) Ditch that dang heater fan in back
2) Any other reasonable trick for lightening.
3) http://m.summitracing.com/parts/dei-110008 (well, might work once down the main straight)

I was going to check out the car last time it was advertised but the price changed markedly during the period and considering a close to mint NZ new C2 had sold for not much more than the new asking price there was no point in going further.

To be honest, the seller does himself no favours marketing a specialist car in the state indicated in the pictures. Why not take some new photos of a clean car? Right or wrong we all use first impressions to give a sense of interest. Someone may get a bargain at $32,000 or it may be another wandering price. Hope it sells to an enthusiast.

Love the Nitrox option Chris. John may need it himself when I tell him a single Z221 x 265 by Fedex from OZ to NZ was quoted $560 AUD!

I removed 120kg from my car in total. Unfortunately I also added 60kg back in! The rear blower is one of the easiest and comes with no down side. *** end weight so good place top loose it.

I sense a long journey with lightening Herman to stay ahead, however no major hurry. There is still a second or so in the car as is. Exhaust, air con and battery offer some useful savings. Maybe a fibreglass bonnet as well, considering the existing metal one is not perfect

That's obscene given it's US$360 shipping for a full set from Tire Rack!

Wow, that's some expense. Conflicted right now was I want more track time. Thinking about Playday on 5 July to get turn one right. Without Lola on my tail!

John. Australia post won't ship anything dimensions larger than 143 cm. My guys trying TNT and DHL to see if better quote. I've been through this before and don't buy from Australia like nz their FedEx rates 3x USA!

I'll let you know outcome

I went with the 285/30/18 pair in soft being delivered today from Mega. Hopefully they will fit!

You could try someone like these guys: http://www.nzbaggageshipping.com/NZ_...Z_Door_do.html
Not really designed as a freight forwarder but may be interested in the business. Much cheaper than FedEx Aus (volumetric weight of 4 wheels for my car is about 110 kilos).

It's been changed to $34,500 post the email from Trademe informing me of the Buy Now. Not important in the scheme of things just saying if anyone wonders why the numbers differ.

So I attracted a spam-bot! I knew I was still sexy!

That was it. I thought it was rare. One of 2 RHD. 650K GBP -- seriously, no one thinks the UK market is over cooked? Come on.....

John, didnt that vendor screw around with pricing last time listed. Its the second 964 Ive seen posted here in the last week where the pictures are ghastly. In this example the car is just filthy. I cant understand people. I guess Im a sales guy and this type of presentation just grates. Someone who presents a car like that gives me the Sh$ts as to how they actually look after the car (even if they are a mechanic or parts supplier or what - doesn't matter seen plenty of builders houses that are partially finished shed to know it bares no correlation). Shame really as they come up rarely in manual C2 and although Im sure it will cost another 20K+ to make it track reliable its a real option for someone....

Yes, they did. It is their prerogative but I struggle with the goal of selling and the behaviour.

Overall, if someone wants to have a usable road car and is obsessed enough to join the 964 group on playdays and wants to run the best times in the group then this is a better starting platform than a C4. However, always keep condition in mind. Lola was streets ahead in term of fit out and condition. I agree, this is $20k at least to get to Lola's condition.

Speaking of Lola. You may not recognise her on the NITT. I suspect she will have many mods by then, all in the interest of leading 964 dd times.

The leather wear suggests something more than 105 k's (compared to Doug's known quantity at 160+ Being significantly better) but I guess it is what lies beneath which is more important than worn trim.
