In speaking with a claims rep today, the fix is approved - though no additional info was available on what they fix would entail. This rep also said that 3.0L Porsches are not eligible for the buy back.

And that waiting game continues...

Default Daimler throws BMW under the bus...

Nice... Read this:

Surely this is well thought out and planned, I could only imagine the secretive meetings between the power players, and the discussions of the next cheapest way out of this mess. Geez.

Interesting. The claims rep I met with said Porsche doesn't tell them anything. They are just hired to take pictures and process your information. Sounds like the phone reps might have heard more.

Interesting it isn't in the news either.

Question;
We are considering upgrading to a 2016 from a 2013 and have several questions if anyone has experience with both year models, I haven't kept up with the differences. What is driving the decision is primarily the warranty, we have 80K on ours and I think we can trade up for less than what one repair will cost if something goes wrong after the 100K warranty.
What if any are the operational differences in the two models, I have read that there is a auto stop/start when you are at a stop and it's irritating, what else is different?
What has been the VW settlement offered to the 2016 owners ? This will be part of our decision to buy. The car we are looking at is eligible for the full settlement to us ( we believe).
What would be a fair market value on a nicely equipped 2013 with 80K well maintained miles? it has the premium plus package as well as the lighting package but with the base wheels and no air suspension.

Thanks in advance!

Hi

I have a 2013 cd with air suspension, prim pkg, towing pkg, and have the first payment from porsche but am looking to trade it in. It has 65 k miles. Any thoughts on trade in value on a 2016 gts??

you could check kbb.com. Probably about 30-40% below the buy back value.

I'm sure looking forward to setting up my appoint Monday to get the fix...oh wait I was just dreaming.

My 911 is having some parts repainted and I've been driving the CD a bunch recently. She turned three recently and has almost 27k miles. Smells like new because it never sees the sun. Garaged at home and at work. I will say I'm in need of tires, I really don't want to drive in the winter without them (they are the originals).
Conti Extreme Contact DWS06’s. They are bloody fantastic.

What claims rep? Sorry, but at this point, people from VAG have been so poorly informed, I’ll pretty much only believe official court documents.

The rep I spoke with on the phone. I never said I believe it; only relaying what I heard.

As of now, no buyback of any type. Only a fix.

If CARB/EPA doesn't approve the fix (including up to 90 days of extensions possible), then a buyback comes into play. We should have a very good idea tomorrow.

Has anyone heard anything today? Any idea on court schedule?
