Diesel Cayenne and VW emission issue

If our only option is a fix, the most important thing to come out of tomorrow's hearing is to restore a proper market for our CDs, in the very near future. Not 6 months from now, not after a fix is tested, not after another judge or set of hearings. VAG has tied up $4.0 billion of our vehicles (my back of the envelope calculation) for nearly a year and three months. Theoretically, you could sell to a low baller, but you won't know if you have any rights to a settlement after relinquishing ownership. So for all intents and purposes, the asset is frozen. This is the first thing that needs to be fixed.

Maybe karma will get him. This isn't a "driveable" car in most places. No doors, mirrors, good, hatch, lights (when he takes them out), seats, required safety equipment (e.g. airbag).
I'd have a good chuckle if they turned him away.

The cars are getting crushed so I don't know how much it really matters, anyways. I wouldn't do what this guy did, but if it's all getting crushed anyways... I'm not sure who's getting hurt.

Ethics and morality.
In effect these people are stealing for VW. Sure it was poor wording in the agreement, but the intent is obviously for you to return the car in a road legal and generally good condition.
The culmination of the buyback is that VW owns the cars again and what ultimately happens to the cars is VW's decision. If they want to crush them without removing parts, that's their business. If they want to strip them and just crush the frame and power train, that is also their business.
I get that these people are pissed and at some level I find it funny, but they are being childish and unethical just like VW did to start all this.

Karma would be a crash on the way to the dealership without the safety equipment.

Ethics and morality largely dead these days though. Any excuse to feel "slighted" provides all the justification they need. Beginning to think enough people out there haven't truly been screwed over before (by life in general).
Ouch. But true!

[Edit: So basically what we were expecting. A "fix" plus compensation. Buyback if cannot "fix." How much compensation is up to negotiations, I guess.]

What a bunch of bullsh*t.
So the gooberment is buying off that VW can fix these things...without a fix approved? And if they can't come up with a fix THEN we get a buyback option? And ZERO details on compensation...only that there will be some?
I mean, seriously, what were all the delays about? The whole thing was to be able to release the details...today.
Edit:
Here's the transcript from yesterday...which is nothing.

And not to mention the Class Attorney's. They got their deal so I guess they didn't want to fight to hard for what they said was a MUST. What a joke. I am just trying to get rid of my 2015 Cayenne POS, more rattles than my kid's Buick Encore. Worst build quality car I have ever had.
