Ya I couldn't believe it. But I guess .1 RS in White w/o all the flashy graphics is pretty rare.
Unfortunately this is going to ruin the budget for people like me who is shopping for a standard GT3... I'm looking for a well optioned .2 GT3 and trying to stay under $140k all in... With the market going the way it is that may not be realistic anymore...

The Isringhausen car has an ask of $219,900. I believe in November before it was sold they were asking 205K.... Nice to see that the more owners a car has had, the more valuable it's become. 😂👍🏻 I always wondered what influenced the value on these. It's no longer a mystery....In all seriousness, this one is a beauty. I'm sure someone will be very happy with it.

Nothing for members to celebrate here. It was for sale on Ebay, and it got scooped by a dealer who flipped it at auction. The celebration would have been if one of YOU guys...looking day in and day out for an RS...would have got it and was able to afford his dream. Instead, a dealer pocketed cash and you lose. I don't get the Svengali effect here.

That's what I was told by someone that was looking at it. I'll ask him to clarify. But let's say it isn't true. There's a handful of dealers that trade in low mileage mint Porsches. You could say they offer a service....or that they inflate prices esp on cars where there are so few by looking 24 hours a day for profit opportunities and snagging them in minutes and seconds at MY expense, and yours. You want to do it? Go you. It sure as hell doesn't help the few guys that have been looking here. Daily. It prices them out. Because the cars are held hostage.
I came from the Fcar world, and you would not believe the process of brand-new sought after Ferraris showing up with "delivery miles". The truth ain't pretty, because Ferrari doesn't allow dealer mark up.

I'm just kidding, I think it's fine, I really do.
I don't expect someone to make free informational DME/overrev YouTube videos AND alert everyone to "deals" for free....the videos are there to make you fell better that THAT's the person who out hustled us.....or you know...doing a job.

I'm glad Doug got top dollar for that car. He's a true enthusiast like the rest of us, not your typical dealer. If I ever decide to sell mine I'm going to have him do it for me. And then find me a 4.0!

Real money in the room this afternoon on BAT. It could have gone either way.

I will also add that Doug recently helped me acquire my 997.1 GT3. Sight-unseen from Colorado. Car arrived even NICER than I was expecting. And I was expecting a nice car. I also feel the deal was very fair. Highly recommended.

@RallyeChris, glad you're happy with the car! Did you get the center bypass installed? Let's remember to talk Big Healeys next time we chat...
Another very satisfied Switchcars customer here. Anyone looking could have bought 2910 when Doug had it listed previously on his website (if I recall correctly, it was offered late last year (before completion of the work that was described in the auction listing) and earlier this year (after the work was completed, before it hit BaT)).

Yes, Big Healey chat is a must. Mine is currently undergoing a suspension refresh. All poly front bushings, shocks out for rebuild, trunion bushings, etc. All parts/rebuild services from bighealey.com (Denis Welch, RIP). Should be done by end of April.
