92k-mile Speed Yellow .1 GT3 on BAT. Has full leather and zero over revs. Seller mentions that the car sustained three incidents of damage that required bodywork to the sides and rear, including a rear-end collision. There are photos of the damage and invoices from the repair.

Whereas on the 997.2 GT3, it seems that xenon was standard and then the lightweight halogen was optional. For the xenon option, it specifies headlamp cleaning system. After looking some more, Spyerx mentioned his car has halogen headlamps and he has a 997.1RS. This pic below shows that his car does not have headlamp washers. So it seems that halogen headlamps mean no washers. Xenon headlamps means headlight washers. Since that car I posted has halogens, it makes sense that it doesn't have the washers. Learned something new.

I think we nailed it. On the 997.1 standard was Halogen, optional was Bixenon. On the 997.2, standard was Bixenon, no cost option was halogen "lightweight" and cost option was Dynamic cornering lights (option 603). On both generations, the halogens had no headlight washers.

this car was listed in the rennlist classifieds and on cars.com for several months. It’s one of the highest MSRPs of any 997.2 GT3. One of only 43 GT Silver GT3 built for North America. I actually wanted to buy it, but ultimately it had a few question marks that left me unwilling to pull the trigger. I suspect others felt same way, since for the asking price this should be a no brainer if the car was right and tight.
Also, DME is ok, but not exactly clean. Range 1 and 2.

Can anyone share just what specifically was deemed questionable about this car? I wouldn’t consider Range 1&2 overrevs as a deal breaker esp. when in context with historical engine hours

Interested to see what this one goes for. Unfortunate about the accident and 2 other damage situations on the car, but ultimately, great on the owner for documenting everything properly. This would make a great car to load miles onto and then eventually send to Sharkwerks for a 3.9 rebuild.

This may be one of the 997 GT3's that does well on BAT, given that it should sell somewhere in the $60-70k range which means someone can get into a 997 GT3 that may normally be shopping other cars.

Owner is on RL and spoke with him about this car a couple months ago but it seemed like he wanted to go the BAT route at this time.

Feel free to DM me. I don't want to make any comments in a public forum that may be misconstrued as anything other than my personal opinion.

Regarding the DME, I said it wasn't clean, which to me means no ignition counts in any range. I didn't say the DME was bad or anything to be concerned about, simply that it has ignitions in ranges 1 and 2. As I'm sure everyone on this forum knows, you don't register a range 1 on a GT3 by simply banging against the rev limiter. You have to exceed redline by 600RPM for range 1. Anyway, not here to debate DME reports, just clarifying what I stated previously.

I can’t say what may have caused some to walk but just from the previous Rennlist ad alone, the seller did not seem very forthcoming about another poster’s questions about the car possibility having racing buckets and harness bar at one point. Probably not a big deal if it did but the seller answered by saying it doesn’t currently have those items. Well, no sh#t, lol.

Correct me if I'm wrong but xenon low beams were standard on 997.1, the Bi-xenon option just changes high beams from halogen to xenon.

EDITED TO CORRECT

What Porsche referred to as the "lightweight" lights had a halogen projector low beam element and halogen high beams, with no range control or headlight washers (See pic below). Then you had the BiXenons (optional on 997.1, standard on 997.2) which looked the same as the halogens but the light elements were xenon for both high and low beam and they had auto height control, and finally, you could get the up-price option dynamic cornering lights, which had dual xenons, height control, and swiveled up to 15 degrees outward based on steering input.

I have lightweight headlights on my .2 and I don't have xenons or washers. Just halogen headlights.

"Lightweight", that's funny. My 2008 Nissan Versa had also had the lightweight headlight option.
