@switchcars Showed a white .1RS on their IG story today with a ton of interior CXX or mods.
I'd trade my orange for a silver any day of the week. If that silver had full the same options as mine and rotors that weren't toast, I'd be all over it. I also see everyone is loving the pictures but those are beauty shots and don't really help a buyer make an informed decision.
I currently have my eyes on this GT3 but wanted to see if I can get any eagle eyes on it (any discrepancies or something off?) before making contact with the dealer... I haven't found much info on its history when looking up the VIN otherwise Link

There's the stuff that you're probably noticing, like the rock chipping on the front as well as on the rear rockers, all pretty normal stuff given that clear film wasn't as widely used in 2007 as it is today. Only thing that stood out to me is the passenger side inner door sill. Looks like a heavier orange peel texture, but the issue is that photos can hide a lot or show a lot more. So I wouldn't necessarily be overly concerned. I'd ask them to do a walk around video for you, paint metering the panels to be sure everything checks out. Get a PPI on it yourself. I'd also recommend flying out to be sure you're happy with the condition.
Ceramic rotors also look a bit tired to me, but I'm far from a PCCB expert.
CarFax is far from perfect in terms of accuracy, but you'll notice brakes changed at 6k miles and 8k miles. Also, brake fluid flushes within a couple of months of each other in early 2008. My guess is due to track use. Track use is expected on these cars.

Thank you for the insight! - The Carfax is a little worrying with the number of changes on the brake pads, I understand from previous owners that the PCCB's often cracked during track use and not sure if the originals were used or steel rotors were swapped.. ill have to give them a call later today to see if I can get some photos of the rotors and paint readings. This is an excellent jump off point, much appreciated!

If the owner was using the PCCBs on track with traction control on, that would have caused excessive wear on the rear rotors. Definitely keep us posted with what they say.

Noob PCCB owner inquiry, but probably helpful for others on the hunt as well - When you guys refer to rotor health, what are the primary visual indicators you’re relying on?
Are those darker circles wear indicators of some sort? I assume surface roughness, imperfections, discoloration, etc., are all also indicators, but is there something definitive shy of weighing a set of rotors ?

same exact things stuck out to me. initially, it looked like a fantastic price, but that price is likely based on actual condition. for a 20k mile car, it appears heavily peppered on the front end, mirrors, windshield, and leading edge of the roof. with the brake issues noted, you have to assume this car spent a fair amount of time at the track. the next thing was the rocker paint, as noted by Bxstr. this car would need a thorough inspection before purchase, imo. looks damn good in black, though!

Like I said, I'm far from an expert, but I typically look at the rotor itself and see if it looks burnt or super dark. The older 997 PCCBs aren't as shiny as the new 991/992 PCCBs, but even the 997 PCCBs I'd expect to have some sort of reflection to them if you were looking at the rotor and checking if you can see the spoke reflecting on the rotor. The small indicators can be another giveaway, when new, they shouldn't be as visible. Attaching the official documentation from Porsche which hopefully will help.

I know as much or less than you Jordan but I have to imagine it's the things you mentioned plus an actual measurement of the thickness remaining on the rotors themselves with one of those tools.
