A wise friend of mine did tell me that the best cars ever built have probably already been built, are we ever going to see the likes of a Carrera GT, 997 GT cars, 2005/2006 Ford GT Just to name a few
I think most of us on this subforum have a similar perspective. Not that we can't afford the newer versions. The older stuff is just more fun. Curious as to why the GT2 wasn't a keeper.

I agree. I just added the full Dundon system to my 991.2 3RS and took it to the track today. While I love my 997.2 3RS, the new one with this upgrade is absolutely amazing. A keeper as well.

Since most of my fun is now on the street it was just too much to exploit and enjoy on the street, I’ve gradually become an all motor guy/natural aspiration, Plus to be quite honest I got out about two years ago and I could probably buy my car back for 20% less than I got

$123k for an 18’’ Manual on BAT. Market is trickling down worldwide. A pristine 996RS factory racer went for $200k US. A 993RSR with history and a minor wall incident didn’t even sell.

The market as a whole is down. Who’s going to keep theirs or who needs the money is the issue faced. I’m waiting it out; but, I’m on the otherside or the fence.

991's, including the GT cars, are depreciating assets. The market as a whole is trending downward, but I wouldn't use a 991 anything as a barometer.

Last I checked, 997RS's are still trading above MSRP. Not as high as they were 2 or so years ago, but still above. But as I and you both stated, the market as a whole is trending down.

Good call. The .1s are junk.

Easy scam. They stole the photos from Maserati of Newport Beach and then hacked a dealer's account on cars.com

Happens on a weekly basis.
