Decent amount of discussion on this car.

Salesman Cam couldn't handle my inquisition on the car and said it's pending sale. F Cam and F Vanquish Motors!

That thing has been smacked in the front, specs show painted headlight washers and yet they're chrome. I promise no one swaps them to chrome over painted lol

front bumper is definitely a different shade of white too

weird how all of their other inventory has Carfax attached but this one does not…

Could be a great for someone not looking for a perfect car; too bad the the dealer has to be so shady. Never works out to their benefit in the long run to employ shady tactics. Just be transparent and you'll probably find a buyer!

I have a hard time with dealers who claim "high spec" when it doesn't have PCCB's. To me that's the first option requirement on "high spec" (cuz it cost so much originally). Sure the carbon interior bits adds $$$ ... but it doesn't even have seat backs painted white. If the console is gonna be white, the seat backs should be white too. ... ok, ok, I'll get off my high horse.

Average 997.1 GT3 MSRP for 2007 and 2008 in the US was $118k. 2008 .1 GT3 MSRP was $1500 more than a 2007. This one was $125k CAD (Canadian car), so depending on when it was purchased, it was about average to the others. Definitely wouldn't consider it a high spec. Like you said, without PCCB's, it's hard to get a high spec car unless you had lots of leather.

Having just sold my 07 gt3, 44k miles, full leather with PCCBs, I can provide a data point without noting the final sell price (out of respect for the buyer who is a RLer).

-quality cars that are honestly represented with nice options (full leather/PCCB) sell for more than same or comparable publicly listed cars

-dont bother with selling (or even wasting your time to get a #) from Indy dealers (unless there's an exact car you're looking to trade for and can earn tax credit so it makes sense). Their offers were about 30-35% lower than comparable cars they've got listed on their website. Another confirmation that they're the primary drivers of pumping the prices up. The greed is off the charts. As a courtesy to a respected Indy (starts with a S and ends in Cars, this comment DOES NOT apply to them as I did not reach out to Doug)

-if you are in the market, put up a WTB post. And if the car ticks all the boxes and condition/history is legit, the price is likely going to be higher than what you see on the open market.

+1 especially your point about the respected Indy as I sold them a pristine 997.1 GT3 about 10 years ago and was given a fair price for it.

+2. I definitely didn't net what I could have for my .2 by selling on my own, but my transaction was a trade with tax credit, so it worked for me, and the reduced hassle and expedience were major factors for me.

This is sound advice to buyers as I've run into too many that think, "Private Party, I can strike an amazing deal".

Zero affiliation with the car and I'm not doubting your knowledge of its history, but I've painted the headlight washers body color on every 997 I've had with the exception of one that was spec'd with them painted. The chrome looks awful IMO.

I think you're on the same side here. Their point was painted always looks much better, and, on a car where somebody from new specified painted washers, the fact that it has the chrome ones indicates they were potentially replaced by a less detail oriented body shop at some point after some kind of damage. Since close to nobody would voluntarily go from painted to chrome just for the look.
