The 997 GT3/RS Cars For Sale Thread...

Ahh I was giving you the benefit of doubt, my experience with Grand Prix was lovely. They saw my ad on facebook, got my phone number from another member and then cold called me.
All so they could tell me I didn’t know the market and what I wanted was ridiculous… I then sold it on Pcarmarket for what I wanted and donated $5k of it to Toys for Tots. I made more than $ you offered and my money didn’t fuel the PPP loan fueled buying/selling extravaganza you guys put on over there.

Settled! No Rennlister will be purchasing from the dealer and the dealer will just sell to the other 90% of the people in the world.
Car Dealer, start looking for non GT cars to stock in inventory. 996's, Cabs, Targas and base Carrera's are good candidates.
Mods, clean up this thread.

Wait, you're telling me there are still ADMs on 992 GT3s? They are spitting them out from the factory faster than Cayennes. There are currently 150 listed for sale just on AutoTrader. Why would someone pay ADM for a car that's so readily available. I guess I really don't understand the market.

Anyways, would still love to know why this white GT3 was switched from one customer to another without full documentation when it should have been available (and why you would represent a car your own customer apparently thought could have been a total loss if he went through insurance?), and then repair estimates were dragged out (with a still incomplete story) four years later in the final day of an auction. Disingenuous?

damage was on left side
i had the car inspected prior post damage before Doug bought it back.
While a good amount amount of money was spent, it was not put on celette bench and my trusted body guy said to pass
Im not a porsche body expert but there was obvious (to him) of “not repaired correctly” chassis damage. It’s been a few years. I don’t recall all of the details. I passed. Will never show up on Carfax. Repair was paid for with cash

Back on topic, someone clearly recognized the potential of this car:

$240k hammer + buyer fee
For those considering this 2011 GT3 at Florida Performance, it had a bunch of repair work done to it. Selling dealer doesn't have personal knowledge of the accident or photos, but an aftermarket report showed various areas in which there were repairs performed on the car. I'd get it if the buyer was pursuing Euro delivery, PTS (can you even get that right now?), or some really esoteric options combination, but the majority are nowhere near creative with their spec at all. German Rainbow paint choices and black leather interior. But ooh, lizard green seatbelts!
Porsche must put something extra in their version of new car smell. I have no other explanation.

About the Arctic Silver 2007 Porsche 997 GT3 RS accent color. I have seen a few of these 'orange accent' ones in person and as we know Porsche AG was making a statement with the Accent Colors being 'loud'. Just a matter of taste as far as owning one like that. Changing the car on Bring A Trailer back to original Orange Accents would make it worth more (because it is rare) . I assume the original orange wheels were sold off many owners ago.
Photograph below is of another 2007 GT3 RS, many years ago at Brumos Porsche..
