What mileage you replaced them at? Any signs that showing it needed to be replaced?
Just to give you another point of reference, my 09 with nearly 57,000 miles needed them last fall. Totally shot. 5 minutes to replace. Purchase replacements from FCP Euro. Like everything else from FCP they will come with a lifetime warranty. You will never have to purchase them again.
Some more carbon fiber goodies for the Porsche! Massive shoutout to @Fabspeed Motorsport Motorsport this intake is top notch! And Andrew for the killer service in getting it ordered!
Also wanted to give a massive thank you to @Soul Performance Paul and Chris over there got an issue I had taken care of and the customer service couldn’t have been better!

You'll love the sound and increase throttle response.
Pop that intake back off again and use some carb and choke cleaner on a rag to clean the deposits that have formed at the lip the throttle plate seals against in the throttle body - just push the butterfly open gently by hand. Clean the backside sealing surface of the throttle plate too. Will give you a smoother idle.

Appreciate that feedback! I drove her to work today (about 70 miles each way) and the drive up here was amazing!
Had a message popping up for right dipped beam. Noticed that the passenger headlight was turning off after a few seconds. Did a bit of research and decided to go with new headlight bulbs (upgraded to philips v2) and also used contact cleaner and dialectric grease. Ordered is all in from amazon, installed today - no more dipped beam message and headlights seem to both be fine. Haven't driven at night yet - not sure I'll notice a difference.
Also - since I know from experience that it's best to polish headlights when they're removed, I cleaned up the lenses
Over the past couple days I:
-changed transmission oil (and spilled like half a liter so my garage smells awful now).
-replaced the diver side AC condenser and AC drier.
-replaced a leaky steering rack.
I probably saved thousands doing this all DIY, but not sure I want to relive the steering rack swap.
Changed out gear oil. Car has 62,400 miles. I bought it with 53,000 and not sure if it had been done before. Huge thanks to USMC_DS1 DIY notes & pics in the DIY thread. Seemed like a straight-forward and relatively cheap maintenance item. I used OEM fluid from Pelican. I wasn't having any significant issues shifting other than a stiff 1st when cold. After the change, maybe a slight improvement with the stiff 1st and other gear changes feel buttery smooth.
Neglected to post other mods/maint:
- installed new steering wheel from DCTMS. Turned out fantastic.
- Frunk release hack - running cord to behind front right fog light. Thanks to Bruce in Philly and Wayne smith
- Fabricated a 2" padded cover for center console lid. I need a place to rest my elbow and console lid is way too low. I would love to hear from any source where I could buy a new lid that was thicker and padded.
- Connected battery charging connectors and installed battery charger in garage ceiling (right by the garage opener) so cord can just drop straight down and easy connect.

I took the time to change the gearbox and front differential oil. And since I couldn’t find a set of Porsche coveralls I made some myself.
I’ve used this pseudonym for years, Starbucks can’t seem to get my name right but they’ve never fouled up Nico. Seemed only right to put it here too.
