Front after and the next picture is before. 15mm is a great look. I think if the vehicle was not lowered then the 7-10 range would be perfect. I plan to lower another 1/4 to 1/2”
also is it just me or does this car run better after being detailed!! 😂
It also depends on the width of the front wheels. I believe the oem turbo wheels are .5” wider in the front. I tried 15mm in the front of mine with 8.5” front wheels and was too much.
I bought the leather from Global Upholstery http://www.globalupholstery.com/....The code for black Porsche leather is POR918. I bought a half hide and had it thinned to 0.4 mm. A half hide is about $125 which is a great price considering the quality of the leather. Thinning it to 0.4 mm will cost an additional $90. So around $200 for a thinned half hide. I used about $5 worth of leather to cover the vent.
That does look perfect & better than the 7mm on the front of my C4S but I must push you back on whether a fresh detail makes a P car run better (and subsequently, puts a bigger smile on your face): as a pseudo OCD 911 pilot for many years, I've had the biggest smiles on my face while getting her dirty as opposed to while I was making her presentable again!
But seriously, any interaction with a 911 is special, but just saying for me, practice time is some of the best moments of my life...although cleaning her up does solidify the memory in very tangible manners, so there is that joy as well.
I'll be listening in to see how you like/dislike the further lowering you have planned; I know that it will look great but unsure about performance, but that also depends on what you want to do with her...
Nice work

I have a .2 C4S and went with 7/15mm as that seems to be conventional wisdom. However once lowering the car on coilovers, there's room for some more mm. In hindsight, I should've maybe lowered then measured and bought spacers. 7/15 looks good, just not perfection. Going for flush look.
I had 10mm front and 15mm rear spacers. C2 Lowered on Bilsteins. I’m now running wheels with custom offsets that fit perfectly flush. 8.5x19 and 11x19" +45 Offset front +51 Offset rear

I think 10mm up front would do the trick. May swap out the 7mm this season.
So far the wheel spacers are perfect and I do not have any rubbing. I don’t think I will lower it anymore actually.
but today it snowed again… getting sick of winter.

New wheels look great, are those Augment?
The wheels are Fuchs Performance. I bought them from the Rennlist classifieds. Looks like the manufacturer went under a few years back. The wheels are fully forged and fairly light weight. They have a nice retro look without being exact Fuchs replicas.
Looks great. Those are the eBay wheels that kind of look like the 991 ones correct? Also like what you did with the rear badging and the Depo / Dectane lights are the best of the led versions. Have been running 2 sets of those on my 2 cars for 10 years with no issues.
