Brake flush and SSK install. What a difference on the Porsche SSK. Very nice.

Next. Installing the Porsche Classic Fuchs with my new PS4's.

Outside of a shorter throw, does the porsche ssk remove some of the flex and play like the function first or numeric does?

I had the Porsche SSK from the factory......the Numeric shifter has zero play, the Porsche SSK is like a wet noodle compared. Also the Numeric has an even shorter throw position (it has three positions) than the Porsche SSK if that tickles your fancy.

I agree, my first mod was the Numeric shifter. I use the middle setting. If I get ambitious I will use the lowest one. One issue with that is that the cable that goes to the USB and ipod interface in the console....runs right under the shifter. If I use the shortest setting, its low (the cable end and shifter) and the cable may interfere with it.

Interesting you post this; Numeric is doing a group buy offer currently! So would you say it's well worth the $/time to install over the factory SSK? What throw setting are you using?

Also, what front lip do you have on your car? Any clearer image?...looks nice.

Added the Fisker exhaust. Small potatoes compared to some mods in this thread but you've got yo start somewhere...

damn, didnt know it was such an upgrade over the oem SSK. tempting.

i do think there however that there are some threads here on rennlist where its cheap+easy+safe to tighten up the play on the oem SSK, may be looking into for those of us with oem SSK that don't want to spend the money.

I'm using the middle setting which is a tad shorter than the Porsche SSK.....I also have the Numeric cables which makes a noticeable difference as well.

The lip is a GT3Tek....

The Function First kit will take a lot of the play out of the SSK, but I really like the rifle bolt, positive feedback the Numeric Shifter gives.

It's just money and the Shifter is the one item used most when driving so you will get your monies worth!

Didn't mean to stir up the thread over the shifters.

I am debating on ssk, bbm, function first or numeric.

FF seams like the best bang for the buck considering I only plan on tracking once or twice a year. Seams obvious numeric is the better choice if it's a track car.

Yes....for the Shifter and cables your looking at $1200 and I would do both. It's great on the track but it's just as functional on the street. Smooth, positive shifts, no first gear issues at low speeds, and the positive feedback. The FF kit is $300 for the shift kit and a few of my buds that went that route and compare it to the Numeric are blown away on the smoothness of the Numeric setup. But at $400 more for the Shifter only and another $500 for the cables.....well?
