While my son and I were washing the new 928, cleaned up the wife's 997 for her too. The pearl is really cool when it's clean. Love the 987 hips - even the narrow body cars are hippy.
Lot of changes made to the car since I took it out of hibernation a few weeks ago.

Took the front bumper off, removed the stock side intake slats, and put my Zunsport grilles much further back (they are designed to sit in front of the slats typically). I kind of love the look as it gives it a bit more aggression without the slats (ala GT3 intakes) but still pretty subtle
Next up is a full paint correction and researching coilovers to get rid of the base ride height.
Beautiful car! What brand rear bumper and diffuser are those? Would like to get them for my 997.2.

Thanks.
The rear bumper and diffuser are one piece and made by Vorsteiner. Unfortunately, they stopped manufacturing the 987 pieces a few years ago, so your inky option will be to find a secondhand one and not sure how many they actually sold. I've only seen 1 other come up for sale besides the ones we bought and fitted to this car.
It has the decklid with active aero upper wing from a 997 Twin Turbo.
Changed engine air filters. Have done it countless times before on all three 997's I've owned and it's typically been about a 30 to 45 minute job. Very easy although tight quarters with the screws for the filter housing. This time I spent two hours and still ended up with two screws left over. Could not get the two rear center screws to line up to save my life. What's weird is that all the others fell right into place but those two just fell into what seemed like an empty hole. I tried to push and pull to find the right line up but no luck. Never had this issue before.
The housing is on nice and tight with I think six other screws so it's more of a nuisance than anything else. Don't like to have left over parts on the garage floor after putting things back together even if it's just two small screws. I might take another stab at it removing the housing and starting with the two problem screws instead of saving those for last.
Had an oil spill when I was changing the oil before putting it away for the winter. I was able to clean it up so that it wasn’t dripping on the garage floor while it was parked for the winter, but when it came out of hibernation it would leave drips every time it was driven as little pools of oil sitting in a heat shield some place would get disturbed and find a way to the floor. It was a gift that kept giving for a month so I put it up on the Quickjacks and pulled the air box and doused the engine with a garden house for about an hour. Let it fully dry, drove it and I think it’s good. Stupid mistake that I won’t repeat.
