I bought a set of those Apex wheels but in Silver for my 997 - 18" for a winter set. Nice wheel.

Yup, 70% tint IIRC.

Unfortunately forgot to weigh, but they are slightly lighter than the Turbo rims I had previously, from personal handling them.

It's the rennsport magnetic mount. The MagSafe attaches to that magnetically without any additional requirements. Occasionally it will slide off if you pull the phone sideways, but it's been reliable so far. You can always add a PSA to secure it if needed.

I have a SpiegeL mount (bought directly from Spiegel for the V2 that has 50% more magnet power) on a modified Rennline dash mount with a SpiegeN MagSafe case. I hated the white MagSafe outline on other clear cases.

It isn’t going anywhere. I don’t even think a car accident would knock it off.

Reinstalled front bumper after a respray, added grill guards and a different front lip.

@emc2.. your 991 lip lastest a long time but it had seen better days. Trying something new on the front but keeping the rears.

Sweet! I might have to do this. I have the Rennsport magnetic mount and always pull out the corder charger to charge the phone.

Look at my post a few posts up.

The Spiegel MagSafe mod on the Rennline does not slide off and grips hard.

IMO also looks better and is lower profile in the car.

Yup I saw that! The spiegel mounts directly onto the Rennline? I'm assuming it uses the same ball mount?

Yep, mounts on the Rennline but of course you have to remove the old Rennline magnet.

You end up having to break the Spiegel mount to get to the ball.

Finally got rid of the terrible Bose factory amp and fiber optic garbage. To eliminate the MOST adapter box attached to my Sony XAV-AX5000, I installed a JBL DSP4086 amp to power the factory Bose speakers using a Bose amp bypass wiring harness... it's an incredible upgrade. The JBL amp allows you to tune the frequencies of each speaker and assign the appropriate low level line out signal to each channel through a computer interface, shown in the pic. I opted against reinstalling the Bose subwoofer box, as the woofers in the doors provide more than enough bass for my needs now and I see no need to carry the extra weight/volume in the rear of the cabin. Aside from soldering up the wiring harness and running RCA cables and a remote power wire from the back of the receiver to the amp in the frunk, it's plug 'n play. Can't recommend this enough if you've moved on from the factory PCM unit.

All the weather seals and exterior rubber bits got a coat of Shin-Etzu silicone grease.

Any technique to applying?

I like that set up. How exactly did you modify the RennLine mount to make this work? I've already got the RL installed...
