I just reinforced new mounts with the factory rubber intact. Poured the liquid rubber in and let it set up for a day. I went with aftermarket brand mounts as this is more of an experiment than a "I know what I'm doing project".

Can't really speak to improvement over fresh stock mounts, as I bought the car with old sagging motor mounts, but there's no increase in cabin vibrations, everything feels nice and tight, and the motor sits about an inch higher than it did when looking at the tail pipes. Flexing the threaded portion of the mount after filling with urethane was more rigid than prior to filling, so I imagine there's some incremental improvement over stock... hopefully longer life too. Still waiting to do the trans mount, I have to track down a press tool or make one. I anticipate a noticeable difference with that mount as there's more empty space in the stock mount for the rubber to fill. Hopefully its a nice middle ground between the overly harsh inserts and soft stock mount.

changed out the factory hood emblem with this matte black one from aase. Excellent quality, metal and exactly what I ordered and was only $40us plus shipping so about 85$ cdn which is a really good price compared to others Ive seen. However Im going to take it off, kind of looks cheap once it's on the hood for some reason.
I will put the original back on for now and might look into getting a silver+black one that they have, they have lots of different colours and variations. I think it would look good on a white paint job so I'll just put it away until I get a Macan or Cayenne, lol.

Pulled off my alcantara steering wheel for a clean, just felt it would be easier to clean it up with it off the car. It can be done while on but I didn’t want the cleaning spray spraying all over the inside.

20 mins to pull of the wheel, with the downtime once I’d disconnected the battery, took me 30 mins to give it a good clean with Sonax Alcantara cleaner.

Smells nice, the alcantara fibres “puffed” up again, they were kinda flat, I use the paddles constantly - I went with using a clean cut down sponge and a soft toothbrush for the harder to get to areas. I didn’t really scrub it, I let the foam do all the work and then lightly rubbed & brushed the wheel.

As good as new!

Next year I’ll pull it off again

Summer is hot in AZ and with Covid, haven't been driving the car much. Finally got around to giving her a wash early this morning after probably 6 weeks without one... but dang it was still hot.
