And in keeping with the point of the thread. I ordered a new leather shift boot and bought a new AC control unit from car-part.com as my temp and fan switches were peeling. $125 for the whole thing with perfect switches. Figure I could swap it out then sell mine for nearly the same price.

I really like those, but I'm leaning more towards the Fuchs FP.1's made in California. They are also forged and weigh less than the Fuchs Felge ones. 19 lbs front, 23 lbs rear.

I wanted to, but the fitment is wrong for NB cars (I don't care what Fuchs say, it is the spec for Porsche WB wheels and Fuchs only make them one way). I know some are OK with that, but I don't care for the look of poked out rear tires that comes with WB wheels on NB cars. They might have been OK, but with no where to "audition" them, the risk was too big. The fitment with the Porsche wheels is dead flush and perfect.

And no way to go wrong with Porsche Wheels - they spent some time making sure they have the classic look, but also complement the updated car and the finish is beautiful. If I'd have had a C4/C4S it may have been a different decision.

Damn. I hope it's not the case. Wheel Enhancement is still listing them on their website...

Since I'm not ready to purchase them right now, I haven't contacted them yet to see if they actually have them or not.

I always wondered how that was going to work for them - "lifting" the name from Fuchs and now Fuchs has as USA presence, so...yeah.

Today I did this bit - not so exciting but both my headlamp bezel and ignition switch trim were looking a little beat and these are really cheap and easy fixes, so now I have done both as shown here...

I went through about half a dozen wheels for my C2S. Loved the Turbo IIs and the LM-Rs the most. In the end, I realized I was still a sucker for BBS. LM/LM-Rs just work on almost any car.

I do love the SC wheels, as they're absolutely gorgeous in finish and in fitment, but I wish they were forged. Of the other "Fuchs" wheels, I'd only go for the real deal made by Otto Fuchs.

Thanks, guys. Yes, it's GT Silver. Such a deep and complex color. I do miss it dearly. And the gf loved it maybe even more than I did. ;-)

Haha. Thanks. I think it's just down to whether you want a motorsports feel or a retro look. Both very appropriate for the 997, IMO. ;-)

That's exactly why I'm so indecisive. I also think that the 997 looks very good with either the retro or motorsports look.
