Mine’s arriving any day now. The only thing I don’t like about my car is the ride harshness so your review is encouraging.

You keep posting that you did this. Can you post pics of it in your 997? Your link says it won’t work in 997s though.

Unless you are just spamming the boards with adverts...

Yeah, just joined, 1 post, irrelevant spam advert. Why buy from a no name vendor?

Swapped out my Fabspeed Center Muffler Bypass X-Pipe and stock mufflers for the FVD Brombacher Street Sport Muffler. Much louder and deeper/throatier sound.

@JT77 Good move - I've had that same exhaust on my car for several years. You just can't beat it imho

@Medford997 At the link below I posted some clips from inside the car and also the YouTube external clip which is super accurate:

Finally got my interior bits back from getting wrapped by a great guy in Germany I connected with through ebay.
He did the shift boot, console lid and handbrake.
Had the center console painted by my local body shop and it all turned out amazing.

But the BEST upgrade was removing the Short shifter that came with my car (custom made by my dealership Pfaff Porsche back in 2010) for a new OEM 997 Short Shifter.
Before installing the new SSK I performed the Function First Shift RIght Solution modification to it and I couldn't be happier with the results!!
Slop is almost completely gone. Shifting is short and precise but still smooth. It honestly feels like a brand new car. Easily top 3 in all the modifications I've done.
So glad I didn't go with the Numeric.

LN Engineering Oil Change and Blackstone Analysis - straightforward job and a nice clean bill of health for the next 6 months.

LN Engineering water pump and thermostat bundle - the DIY guides on here are just phenomenal and I am eternally grateful to those who put them together.

Took her out to the track and added a few more Range 1s to the DME

Happened to raise the rear deck spoiler with the car parked in the garage and discovered it creaking and groaning while extending and then retracting it. I never noticed this before when driving because of the road noise etc at speed.

I referenced some comments in past threads in the forum here, but thought I would take a few photos and post them in order to more fully illustrate the process that I used to fix the problem.

Started with the spoiler in the extended position. Cleaned everything with P21S Total Auto Wash, hot water and a microfiber cloth.

There were two areas that needed the lubrication - the exposed plastic tubes (visible with the spoiler extended and the deck lid in the closed position); and corresponding tubes that are visible on the inside upper area of the open deck lid. (Small holes in those tubes is where I directed the lubricant on the inside of the deck lid.)

Products used:

Wurth HHS 2000 spray synthetic lubricant
WD40 PTFE Dry Lube spray

I also took the opportunity to lubricate the various hinges for the spoiler and deck lid using the HHS 2000.

The photos below illustrate the process.

Problem solved.

This is really great stuff.

These tubes remain exposed to the elements when the spoiler is extended

WD40 PTFE Dry Lube on them - does not attract dirt and dust

Tubes inside the open deck lid

Wurth HHS 2000 synthetic lube directed into the holes. This stuff sprays as a liquid initially but then the carrier evaporates leaving behind the synthetic lubricant that lasts. Great stuff.

Figured these hinges could use some lubricant as well.

Rest of the hinges were also lubricated

Finished Installing a Kenwood DNX997XR, CAI HUR and rear view camera. Not for the faint of heart but worth the trouble. It took me two days for the install. I love the wireless Carplay and it sounds great. I kept the Bose fiber. Defintely would have been lost without the CAI instructions.

While I had a bunch of stuff out of the way, like the alternator, decided to replace my coolant expansion tank, and redid a T fitting that runs coolant to the intake manifold intercoolers for the supercharger.

Adding the Function First transmission inserts while I'm at it and will also pull the A/C compressor to replace the Bank 2 chain tensioner - already did the other 2.
