Changed the oil, topped off tire pressure and a hand wash. Love this car!

Chill, indeed! If I may ask, why do you call your car Lanolin?

Lanolin, as I use the name, is from the Anchorman movie. It's mostly an inside joke between me and my friends.

Tried to take mine to the local Cars & Coffee, but the left rear tire started shredding, so I parked it. (Waaaaaah!) Now I have to spend $$$ on tires by next weekend so I can Autocross it.

Turned 121k miles and used the Durametic for the first time to clear and airbag light I set off when I removed the center console and turned off the driver's side seat belt chime.

I did a wash and wax. Then took a drive and got caught in a thunderstorm. Oh well, I will just have to wash it again tomorrow.

After months of prepping, took my 997S to its first Track Day...over 70 P Cars showed up, quite a few for the Dominican Republic. Porsche is leading luxury car sales in the country thanks to the Macan and Cayenne (over 20% market share).

Partial Paddock View

The first cars to arrive

73 P cars showed up

Most ogled car in the paddock: New GT3 RS

myw: I have no idea what happened. I was driving on the highway and suddenly, I heard a weird sound behind me, so I pulled over. I don't think I hit anything (or if I did, it wasn't big enough for me to notice). My daughter was in the car with me and didn't notice me hit anything either. I bought the car CPO in January and have only put 4000 miles on it, but the wear is definitely uneven on both rear tires, with more wear towards the inside. The tire's manufacture date is 2010. Maybe they're just too old??? I don't know.

If anyone has any theories, please let me know! Thanks!

I would think its normal for the tires to wear on the inside more. But for a car to pass for cpo the tires would have to meet a certain criteria. Sounds like they didn't take care of the tires when they cpo the car.

I believe with standard alignment the rears will wear more on the inside. When I swapped my Pirellis for MPSS last year, they were obviously worn more on the inside. I took it into the dealer for an alignment with the new rubber, they asked how I wanted it aligned, with the warning of inside tire wear.

I agree but usually like to get more than an hour out of a wash. So I cleaned it back up and drove it to work in the rain this morning. I wonder how many people cringed reading that I drove it in the rain on purpose?
