I took a friend of mine for a ride in the GTS today. First time in a Porsche for a long time American muscle car guy. He just ordered a new Challenger Scat pack. He had no idea what the car was capable of and came away completely impressed. The best part was the "whoa, whoa, whoa, you going too fast into the turn" as the car effortlessly cut through the corner. No tire squeal, body roll (love the DSC), just handling bliss
"Wow, this thing really pulls hard" was the other notable comment. I think he was expecting a beetle.🤣
I really like those too but their website is a bit confusing. The link you provided states those tail lights are available for 997 2005-2009 and then go into "Fitment information" which lists 2007, 2008, 2009 Porsche 911 (997) GT3 / GT3 RS / Turbo / Turbo S / GT2 (Coupe & Convertible model). So they're overlapping .1 and .2 997's without making it possible to select which model year you have even though the tail lights changed starting with the 2009 cars.
For some reason they're also leaving out 2005 and 2006 cars which have the same tail lights as 2007 and 2008 and they're also leaving out the majority of 997 models beyond 2009, all of which have the same tail lights as the GT and Turbo cars they mention. I did a search on their website for Porsche tail lights and nothing at all came up so I'll call them on Monday to see if I can get some clarification.
I have a pristine set of 2 month old LED tails if anyones interested, Completely plug and play, zero error codes. Were on the car 2 months, car gets driven once a week. Even smell new.
