I am about to do the same thing, but in reverse! Going to remove the GMG custom sport exhaust, and reinstall originally spec’d components on my 07 Cayman S. I am just searching a few missing bolts!

Installed the filler neck adapter. Getting tired of the pump auto-shutting off past 3/4 tank.

Most common in California with higher vapor standards for gas pumps. When filling up once the tank reaches about 3/4 full the pump will turn off erroneously as if it's full. Porsche has a service bulletin regarding this.

I recently installed this too but haven't tested yet. Have you?

I put one in four years ago. Seemed to work for a couple of weeks but not since. I removed and reinstalled mine multiple times to no avail.

Went back to flipping the nozzle upside down after the initial shut off. That method is infallible.

Report back on your success.

Weird, hopefully mine works. Just installed it. Probably won't put it to the test for at least a few more weeks.

just FYI, mine works but x2 the nozzle has popped out while fueling and sprayed gas everywhere. Luckily, it did not hit my car but it scared the **** out of me and made it so people were annoyingly staring at me like morons do when something like that happens.
IDK if it was a fluke or not. Same station both times, different pumps.
Otherwise, it has fixed the issue on my car.
p.s. I have only had the pop out thing happen once before since 1992 on an 85 Civic DX hatch.

Yikes, I'll make sure to keep an eye on it. What station was it? Might also depend on the type of pump handle. I fill up at Chevron but some stations do have older pumps.

I've found my 2006 C2 fills better if I can find a pump station located on an incline and I point the car downhill. Much more early stoppage if pointed uphill. YMMV!

Great tip!!! I find some pumps are better than others. But it's inconsistent at the specific pump as well. Maybe the inconsistency is based on which side of the pump I pull in on. I'll have to start looking at the slope. Great observation!!!

It was the West Valley Mobil at Tampa and Victory blvd. I wouldn't comment if it happened just once, or even if it happened twice on the same pump but it happened twice on different pumps at this station. Normally I fill up at the 76 near House Automotive on Walnut and Hill in Pasadena. I only fill up at other stations when I am in a rush really. I have never had this issue at any other station, EXCEPT! in about 2005 or so AT A MOBIL STATION in San Diego!! ...so interesting. ...but it was in the previously mentioned 1985 Civic Hatch.

(p.s. the time it happened in SD, I was not paying attention and the auto shut off didn't work. What popped the nozzle out was the rush of gas filling the tank! The last two times, which both happened from September to December 2019, my tank was not even half full when the nozzle just popped off. IDK about you guys but I try to stand as far away from the pump and etc. as possible because I don't like the smell of the fumes when I am pumping gas).

(p.p.s. I also asked AQMD to check it out because it seems super dangerous and they said it was NOT the pump!)

We took the 911 out to Lake Crescent on the north side of the Olympic National Park.
