It was much too late by the time i realized that i was pulling big chunks of clear coat off of the wheels along with the Plasti-Dip.

Mobile wheel tech is coming tomorrow to see if she can fix them or if i am going to have to re-do them.

Oh well, if they need to be re-done, i will go ahead and have them done in the gunmetal gray that i was testing out with the Plasti-Dip.
How much pressure and nozzle angle did you use to blow off the clear coat?

I don’t know. Not anything drastic. My wheels have been refinished so I attribute part of the problem to that. The barrels of my wheels had some dings and anywhere there was a chip in the CC, the water jet lifted the CC around it.

i wouldn’t worry as much about it with the stock finish.

Test fitted an OEM red tail light from jeebus31 - I really like the look and will have to grab some.

Used my quarantine to wash the car and took it to the local ghost town dealership for a photo op.

New note to self - Buy a spray bottle of "dip dissolver" when you want to remove plasti-dip. Make the job very easy even if you have a very thin layer.

Started around 8am and was done by around 11:00am. the top bolts of the cats was a pain till I found the right tool. the good news was no broken bolts in the process although the nuts were all well corroded. now just waiting for UPS.

was about to give up on UPS @around 3:30 and started putting my tools away when...

Fister Motorworks side mufflers and Sharkwerks center bypass. not 10 minutes pass since I received the package got a surprise call from Darin @ Fister asking how everything was. What service, Darin. thank you for the call!

even my Suncoast showed up!

what do you think of the emblem? plan to change the rear emblems to black as well. sun coast had everything but the 4 in black. found out after the order I had to order the black Carrera 4 GTS emblems. try to upload a video but it keeps failing.
