Looks cool. Did you do this install yourself or have it done professionally? And how difficult was the wiring?

Realized my car that I bought nearly 2 years ago has a AWE tuning exhaust. Don’t ask how it took me that long to figure it out.

I did the installation of the sills myself, ie removed the stock sills, cleaned up all the gunk, then stuck on the carbon sills.

I went to an audio shop to hook up the wiring, which took all of 20 minutes. Didn't open the door cards, just attached to footwell lights. Works perfectly!

Big improvement, but would look even better with "regular" silver wheels.

Agree...looks better than before, but white wheels are a little pimp my ride. Silver would look better.

Updated my Foxwell NT520 Pro to the latest Porsche SW (9-17-2019) and voila! Service Reminder reset works now. 2006 997.1 C2S with no Service Reminder Yeah!

Got some new soap for the foam cannon and bucket. Adams has an apple cider fall soap. I like apple cider, so I'm happy to use it year round. Works really well in the cannon and great in the bucket.

I noticed coming back from a recent trip that Adams Polishes is in Thornton (North of Denver) and decided to go check out their shop. Got a wheel woolie so I could reach to the back of the rear wheel barrels, a few polishing pads and some waffle drying towels (which are going to work great).

Also as some follow up to my DIY ceramic coating, I'm at 4 months and the water is beading and sheeting off the paint same as new. I've applied Turtle Wax seal n shine over top a couple times, but I don't like the way it looks over dark paint. It streaks during the wipe off, so just the ceramic coating and occasionally a detailing spray after drying.

Whats the benefit of using a foam cannon versus a rinseless such as Optimum No-Rinse? My 911 is a semi-daily driver, but it doesn't see lots of dirt/grime/buildup. I have pretty much exclusively washed it with Optimum No-Rinse since I got it and the results are pretty good. I'm not sure I would use the Optimum product if it was heavily soiled though.

I can also use Optimum in the garage, which I consider a bonus.

The foam cannon soap is thick, saturates the dirt and pulls it off the paint. The foam also helps lubricate the paint as you wash. Anything to reduce swirls on black paint.

+1

You also use less soap and have much thicker bubbles for the entire wash vs the old soap and water in the bucket method. I used my cannon to wash the 928 and Cayenne today.

I actually have 2 of them. In one I mix Sonax wheel cleaner up to the first line, then add hot water and use that to spray the wheels. In the other, I put car wash soap to the first line then hot water to fill it up. They're labeled so they don't get mixed up just in case there's contamination - don't really want to spray wheel cleaner at my paint.

Default Installed DSC TPC PASM Controller

Yesterday I installed the DSC TPC PASM Controller

This mod took about a minute, which is crazy. First impressions, out of the box, no tuning yet:
  • Below 30mph in normal PASM mode: may have made the ride a little stiffer, compliance about the same. At low speeds, it seems like stock PASM mode to me more or less.
  • Above 30mph in normal PASM mode: highway driving seems much improved, absorbs poor pavement better. On winding roads: definitely recovers from dips much quicker and more composed. Turn in a bit sharper. Hard bumps still jarring but recovery is much faster.
  • in PASM Sport mode: major improvement, bounciness is gone, jarring is gone. Stock PASM Sport mode was almost unusable -- the road has to be nearly perfect or it was too jarring and jiggly. With the TPC controller I can use it on most roads, other than the very worst ones.
Overall an improvement. Not night and day, but good. The sweet spot seems to be how much it improves mid speed (30-75mph), winding-road spirited driving.
