You left out the important details...how long did you wait and did the brisket live up to the hype? I live in Austin and have never been there....just too many other places to get decent brisket without a wait. I suppose I should go once just to say I have been there.

I've several times, dating back to when they were in a trailer......their brisket is the best I've had!

Sorry! I'm like you, I ain't waiting on line for 2+ hours, unless everyone flat on line is a supermodel! I preordered a chilled brisket, and was in/out in 5 minutes. Very efficient. I emailed them on Wednesday. They confirmed Thursday. I picked it up yesterday. Cut a 5 lb brisket into quarters, most now in freezer. Wife & I ate a bit last night, following their reheating instructions. Great! The best? I'm not sure. I still prefer Snow's out in Lexington. Franklin's brisket seemed a tad salty, but that could be us. The MIL is on a low sodium diet, so I chronically under salt things when I cook. Loved the peppery bark. Great smoke ring...T

So, should have asked, what do you consider best brisket in Austin? I've been to all the Texas Monthly locations, except La Barbecue. Tried to go yesterday, but line too long, and we had to get back to D town...T

Changed my front brake pads and rotors. It really is very straightforward, as long as you have all the right tools. This is the sort of thing I never would have even thought to try if it weren't for the forums, so thanks guys!

Hmm, sounds like you are serious. I usually just go to Rudy's or Pok-e-joe's...they both have good and bad days. Stiles Switch from the Texas Monthly list is good, though it has been a while since I made it there.

It's a good excuse for a road trip for wife and I. We liked Stiles Switch a lot. Mann's. John Mueller. Lamberts - too fancy.
Never heard of Pok-e-Joe's. Rudy's is very good for a chain IMO...T

Road trip to Lake Chelan. However ran over a deer that someone else had just hit. No damage that I can see but haven't had a chance to really examine it.

Above pic with a some of the fur that I found under the car wedged inbetween the body panels.

Nice!

We had a drive with a few PCK (Porsche Club Korea) here on the Geoje island. Had a great steamed oyster lunch. Had to wash the cars after the drive as lots of construction works on going on the roads.

Went for a ride with the wife on this unseasonably warm day. Found a local winery and did a wine and cheese pairing. Great afternoon.
