That looks awesome!

Do you have matching Carrera script decals on the sides too?

Bought CCW C10 track wheels with Nitto NT01s from PLNewman. This is my first set of track wheels and tires. Really looking forward to it.

JCGMS - Thanks! I did the decals myself in Illustrator and then had my brother-in-law output the stickers.

Ten Years - when you are ready, I can send you the script if you want (for your help on my project!). Just let me know.

Mspeedster - Thanks! I do not have matching side decals. Instead I used the Porsche font decal on the side.

This is one of the best tribute 997s I've seen. Nice work. AND MOAR PICS!

Nice! Also, what wheels are those? Porsche? Avant Garde?

T., I hardly did a thing; it was fun just bouncing ideas back and forth with you. Thanks for the offer. I'll let you know if I get there. ;-) Enjoy your car, in the best of health. Cheers!

Thank you nwGTS! Once the weather gets better I will try to shoot some more pics - and to give her a nice wash and wax!

JCGMS - Thanks! I bought these from Design911 in the UK. They had the closest form to the original FUCHs IMO as compared to the other brands out there. Wanted the Sport Classic rims from Porsche but the off-set would not work correctly.

Ten Years - that's the enjoyment of modding a car. Time and patience! Enjoy it every step of the way!

Cheers!

I swapped out the button-shift steering wheel for the paddle-shift steering wheel, by following the excellent DIY instructions from "secondshot" at the link below:

https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...tallation.html

I really like the look of the paddle wheel much better than the button wheel, plus I think the paddles will be better functionally. On my one visit to the track this year (PCA HPDE), I accidentally hit the buttons while steering. I think that will be less likely to happen with the paddles, but only another track session will be able to confirm that.

I did mine a few weeks ago (early Xmas Gift to myself) and love it. Makes it feel like a new car - maybe it will keep me from trading up a year or two. That is what I told my lovely wife anyway ...
