There is another one on planet9 describing both door panel removal and also how you drill out the door trim piece. I did it all in about 4 hours or so.

He beat me to it!
I drove mine on a shopping excursion with the wife as the temps warmed up nicely to low 50's. Looking for bath and kitchen fixtures for our re-model. Not the most fun I have ever had, but the wife figured I'd do less carping if we took the 911 and the twistiest route to Home Depot, Lowes, etc...T

Exterior "Gingerbread"
RSS Tow Hooks from Sharkwerks.com ...
... comes out of the box at this arbitrary 30° angle, to be adjusted later ...
...before...
... press on front bumper at the 4 o'clock position, work in the nylon upholstery tool, and pop out the plug ...
... most likely tethered in which case thread the tether through the slot inside the bumper to free it ...
... leave the nylon spacers and rubber ring on the threads or it will tighten so far as to rub on the bumper - trust me
... installed but in need of adjustment ...
... nothing a 5/16 allen wrench can't fix ...
... doesn't really do it justice ...
And for good measure plugged the key hole on the driver's side with a bumpercover.com door plug.
5 minutes for everything start to finish, if that.

Not really today, but the last thing I did on my 997.
I installed my Maxton Design lip, and I'm pleased with the result. Haven't tested it yet over speedbumps as it's in winter storage atm. Ended up with 10-11 cm between the lip and the road, will hopefully work just fine if I take the high bumps from the side.
What do you guys think?

Replaced all my interior trim with most of the full leather kit. Did the under dash, A, B, C pillar, doors and rear passenger. Will work on doing a write up. Not hard just takes some time!

Took her out to meet Mother Nature and get a bath.
This brings up a point ... I miss the clutch since if I get going backwards I've got nothing to push in. Later PDKs had software to allow you to pull both paddles to disengage. The 2010 does not. Does anybody know if you can update the software for this?

Take the Napa off ramp and grab me some good Cabernets lol.
My baby's been singing in the rain all week. Love to see others who brave inclement weather in their Porsches!

Note: I am not condoning, recommending, or encouraging pushing limits on public roads. While I don't intend to find myself spinning, I do believe in the Laws of Unintended Consequences (thus always look for the softest landing, etc.). When the roads are slick and other cars are near, this sense becomes heightened. To that end, I do miss the clutch pedal ... unless the PDK has a bit of magic programmed in.

Tony ... can you clarify what you mean by "take care of itself" by applying the brake?

Re wet traction... I do not see the benefit of de-clutching up until the spin turns into a reverse rotation of the rear wheels. If anything a loaded axle will always help with traction.

Thanks Tony ... more PDK magic I guess. One less thing to worry about.
I agree, declutch only happens when you are watching where you just were!
I drive playing the what if game. Just the way I was taught. And spending a lot of time off road and on snow or ice on my youth, backwards is something I'm familiar with (or was) so backwards is a game piece.
I don't expect a backward event with the 997, I don't drive to risk it, but it just popped into my head again yesterday and made me wonder.
I also wonder why Porsche decided to program declutching into later model PDKs.
