What did you do to your 997 today?

first replaced rear brake pads, then replaced handbrake shoe, and finally replaced the rear bearings.... to remove the annoying little clicking / cranking noise. Nice to hear the engine and exhaust note without any interference ;-)

I remember your post on that. I have listened to various exhuast clips and I liked them the best. I also like the way they do he tune and not use a ****ty windows interface and go for the direct program. Are you happy with their tune? No check light issues or drivability either especially at partial throttle? Do they get rid of the 3k rpm hitch in the upper gears the stock tune has??
Actually smoothed out some of the idle tremble.
Happy to meet you and let you try it out for yourself.

Gundo Hack by Chris Sterling in Laguna Niguel
I researched "gundo hack" or muffler modification. I read up and found Chris Sterling in Laguna Niguel. This guy is awesome, professional, high end. He does these simple modifications because he wants it done right. He does the work himself and does it tip top.
I went with his advice, a 2.5 in. not the 1". He said others said they couldn't really tell with the 1". I am stoked. It sounds great, throatie, growls. I love the startup and the decel bubble.
This is a pretty cheap way to modify the sound of the 997. I didn't want to spend 3-5k just to get a growl. There is no change in HP or emissions. There are changes if you have a Turbo, so you need to talk about that before doing this.
Here is the Before and After on my 2009 911 Carrera S

I went a little bit against the popular trend today... I uninstalled my Depo LED tail lights and reinstalled my OE tail lights. I like the whole idea of LEDs, but the OE incandescent lights just look better to me...

Though... I'll likely change my mind again in a few minutes.
