Took a nice drive after I got an email from local Ford dealer telling me that he had a GT350 in stock and could make a great deal on it. I reminded him that just a few months ago they were asking 10 k or more above MSRP and not allowing test drives and I bought a 911 instead, and I was not interested in his Mustang anymore.

Hahah...it's great isn't it? I took a long drive today that went through a number of covered bridges and tunnels --- did a lot of downshifting and accelerating in sport mode

See, now this is NOT the case for me, sadly. My one major knock on my GTI is it seems to have terrible gas mileage and an insufferably tiny gas tank. Aside from that, it's great.
