I agree and see this as potentially one issue rather than two if the slave is not yet involved. So sure, it could simply be that the master cylinder itself is failing and that's probably all it is. But if the fluid drips you see at the "cap" are caused by the slave pushing Pentosin back toward the master cylinder? that's the double jackpot given they work in tandem, and you'd be wise to replace both.

I'd keep a very close eye on it and for clutch "feel" changing however slightly. Remember, they're both "wear item" parts and failures happen. GL w it.

That is a very ambitious stopgap ( or stop fluid ) measure. But I know exactly what you mean. Well done, for however long that lasts!

No drips at the cap and it was a little low if anything, not overflowing. The rear reservoir is correctly filled.

Question: Pelican parts shows Pentosin CHF 202 for clutch fluid but the reservoir has a paper ring around it that says Pentosin CHF 11, which is correct? Our Jeep uses CHF 11 which would be great to only have to buy one can for both vehicles.

Pentosin 11S has been superseded by 202....NOTE: CHF 11S and CHF 202 are fully compatible and mixable.

Thank you. I don't see the Mopar spec on the 202 datasheet so I need to find some CHF 11. It's ridiculously priced but 202 is not a whole lot cheaper.

you can still buy 11s. I know it says they are compatible, but I went with 11s even though I fully fully drained the system. Didn't want to find out later that there was some unknown compatibility problem with seals and hoses and whatnot.

I think of any "difference" between CH11S and CH202 the same way I think of G12 VS G13 Coolant. Or Porsche branded VS VW/Audi. It's all the same stuff. Though now they have started to push the pre-mixed jugs to squeeze a few extra dollars from the consumers, while keeping the prices and quantity nearly the same as the original 100% you had to "mix". Like a 50% markup all disguised in "packaging".

The "new" normal.

The Turbo's warranty is long gone but the Jeep is still under factory warranty period so I would like to have a receipt showing I bought the correct fluid. The PS reservoir is low on my Wife's Wrangler. The fact the fluid also works on my car is convenient.

Must be a heck of a warranty if they might pay for your fluid?! As long as fluids are "factory approved" that's all that matters and you'll never need to prove it. LIke 11S becoming CH202. But I have two cars that share G12 or G13, and they both have expansion tanks that have puked fluid before, so I get it!

I drove a very long highway run to meet a buddy at a equidistant location for some lunch before the snow sets in again. I hit speeds that could land me in jail to beat him there. He drove his shiny new six+?! litre pickup or whatever it is, and got there a few minutes after me, with speeding ticket in hand.

I picked up the lunch tab.

Finally got the LCA’s done. I’ve been thinking of replacing my PSS10s with Feal 441+ coil overs… anyone have experience with Feal?

They have been received pretty well from the people that have used them. I am going to go with Feals or Ceikas this spring.

Yeah… I’ve read around. There are other specific threads and people seem to love them but some of those threads are older.
