interesting... i was always of the thought that you should do Alcantara on the top dash to help eliminate sun glare... but i have to admit i like the leather on top better...

The F40 utilized gray felt on the dash for that reason but the fit and finish was terrible. I would imagine an alcantara top dash would be tough to clean though.

I am working on fixing a sticky throttle. After removing the pedal assembly and pulling on the cable that goes to the position sensor in the dash I don't think it's the pedal. Can this rotary sensor be lubricated or something similar to fix this problem?

It's hard to be smooth on the accelerator and makes 1st and 2nd gear a chore. Picture of cam lever and sensor below borrowed from another user's post:

Putting the skis on the front would be considerably more inconvenient.

Is the cable binding or is it in the sensor itself? Cables can be lubricated, but I don't think much can be done for the sensor internals.

I am not real sure. I was going try putting some penetrating oil in the cable sheathing and using compressed air to blow it up further.

There are tools designed for lubricating cables, most bike shops will have them, might be worth stopping at one and having them do it.

It may be that you'd have to be in the driver's seat to really judge......I drive alot, this car has 130K, and I've used this rack for years. Love it.

I couldn't get the cable gland or what have you off the upper bracket so I just blew in some liquid wrench. It has a teflon liner so I doubt that is the problem. I greased the rotation points and it seems to be a little less sticky/notchy. Easier to get up the driveway feathering the clutch in 1st anyway. That pedal assembly is a chore to work on. Noticed the master cylinder has a slight drip. Can't wait to work on that upside down.
