You know what those look like!

If a "$25.00" C-clip doesn't bother you!? You're a bigger man than I. I wonder what the profit percentage on those things might be, vs cost of material. A hefty markup, but it is Porsche branded.

I ran out of daylight so I couldn't check it, but do y'all think its still there? Should I order another one?
...I guess most of us who do stuff themselves know this sound. ;-)

I probably have one or two left over from my gt2rs intercooler upgrade - those use a square section clip.
Check the ears on the hose are not bent inward. Revised hoses have better retaining ears.

Cerakote sells a kit to do it yourself. I've been thinking about getting one, will also work with the Techline products.

I was at the dealer last year sitting around talking with a couple service advisors. We were discussing the delta between front and rear tire diameter differential. I was told the maximum difference should not exceed 3%.

The c-clips indeed lose their ability. Even I must have a couple extra somewhere. All part of the joy.

I believe 1/2” is too much. That’s about 12mm, and there are only 10-11mm of tread on a new tire.

I was doing the calculation earlier to compare different tire sizes that would be acceptable. I had not thought about doing it to determine acceptable tire wear differences before needing to replace all 4 tires.

You should be able to take rim diameter plus 2 times the sidewall height, convert to mm, then take 3% of that number. I like to think in mm rather than inches. because the published tire tread depths are in mm.

Right?! The short list is who hasn''t had it happen. I'll never forget the first time it happened long ago, as I was pulling onto an LA fwy on-ramp after a coils n plugs swap and BLAM! as I struggled to get back to my buddy's garage, by then a mile+ away. As I limped back, thankfully and at least already knowing what had happened - as the possibility of it happening IS legendary! It is a scary SOUND though

Because if the tires are matching originally, wear of the rears versus fronts is not enough to make any measurable difference. My 911 and my cayenne both go through 2 sets of rears for every set of fronts. They're never the same it seems.
