Not today, but last week added a ‘20 Macan Turbo to keep the 996TT company.

as Carlo said, that is the way everyone does it on a 996...on my old 993 turbo the gas pedal comes up from the floor so it is easily done heel and toe proper on that car. hence the term heal and toe.

I recall a few years ago reading about Max Verstappen at a track day did not know about heel and toe. modern F1 cars do not have a traditional clutch, it is electronic and only used by the driver when starting I believe.

Nice, I have a similar setup, Cayenne gts, 996tt, 964. Good bunch of cars.

How tight are the tolerances on the quick connect? For awhile, I used something similar on the R, but found the slop (due to less than ideal tolerances on the spline) to be very irritating, so I removed it.
Like T10 Chris mentioned above, the QD is super tight without any slop whatsoever. It is made by Krontec and the same one Porsche uses on their race cars as well as many other teams use. The version we use has the built in 23 pin connector to allow you to do away with the traditional curly cord. It's really a slick piece.

@powdrhound John, you should shoot a pedal box shot so we all can watch you dance.
I can rig something up and take a video once the season starts back up. I will say that being able to adjust the pedals to the proper orientation helps tremendously in making rev-match shifting efficient and smooth. The stock pedal are pretty bad as they are too small and spaced too far apart, especially the brake and throttle. This is even worse on the 997 cars and I have different pedals on my 7.2GT3 also for this reason. On the blue 996 race car, I am using the fully adjustable Rennine throttle pedal which allow for adjustment is all 3 axis. I added the extender on the left upper part of the throttle pedal to bridge the gap even more for use with narrow driving shoes. Here is a picture of the pedal set up below. I also use a clutch stop which reduces the clutch travel by 30-40% making clutch engagement and release quicker. A lightweight clutch assembly really helps making fast shifting possible.

Those floors are awesome - cars are nice too, but, I really wish I had done that when the floors were new.

Some consider heel/toe to be using the heel of your foot to blip the throttle (see below) which I could never figure out. I am a big F1 fan. The clutch is a lever on the back of the wheel.

It is "worse" than that. Verstappen 3X World Driving Champion and currently considered the quickest driver in the world does not own a manual car and didn't know how to drive a stick until recently.

get a set of pedal extensions. Makes it very easy to rev-match.

What you believe has no bearing on what others should do.

Max Verstappen, consider by those in the know to be the best driver alive right now learned to drive stick to pass his driver's test and then reject the manual transmission completely. A direct quote from him, “I hated driving stick. I’ll take an automatic any day.”
