If you're not going to add more fuel to feed hybrid K24s, there really isn't a benefit to going with them - I thought I'd be able to get away with hybrid K24s with a 5 bar FPR and fuel pump, I have been corrected in that there is significantly more airflow with hybrids, so without fuel, I could be going into a lean run condition and no one wants that.
Hmm, ok that's what I thought. The K16 hybrids work ok on the stock fuel injectors or do those need to be upgraded for them too? In other words, if I want to stick with the stock fuel injectors are my only choices factory K16's or K24's?
I am not 100 percent, but I thought the x50 cars have bigger injectors, so if that is the case, you may be able to mix and match a set of k16 hybrids, but someone with more knowledge of the factory fuel system should chime in.

Injectors are the same for each so no advantage there, any hybrid turbo the recommendation is injector upgrade, fpr is for maximizing output on the stock turbos.
Interesting; I was just looking through the PET and the GT2/X50 have other fuel system upgrades, but as you say, the injector part number is the same for all turbo/X50 and GT2s.

K16 hybrids with stock injectors and 5bar FPR are a worthwhile upgrade. Definitely noticeable compared to the stock K16, stock fueling and aftermarket tune. With 93+ octane fuel, you can really only run up to 16psi safely though. With that setup, you could throw on the stock tune for emissions purposes. Or just register in a different county/state and never have to worry about that crap again.
