I went to High Plains Raceway yesterday. Had a great time, just need to work on stringing together all my fast corners so I can match my "optimal" lap that my Garmin Catalyst said I could do

I randomly found a guy on the 996 FB group who took them off his car for some alpha 28s. I got lucky! I have kept my ear to the ground for a while though. They are hard to come by.

You are in great hands, enjoy! The hybrid K24's are a great turbo. Do the fresh air intake with them. You are going to need a good clutch for sure. They pull very hard at the top of 3rd, wait until you experience that, there is no going back..

👍👍
So I did my first ever foot to the floor 3rd gear pull ever. Holy "F" that was intense at 114 mph at 6,300 rpm on a local interstate (287 Southbound just past 23 for my fellow Dirty Jersians). This so Sam could get me a temp MAP while I get my K16s modified by TiAL.

Cobb is pretty cool. Never had one before. If interested, I'd be happy to share my stock K24 Kline data from the Cobb.

I used this stuff this am to de bug after the road trip.

Works very well, only draw back was that I had to wash the car in the shade and when cool.

Special wash to use if you have a ceramic coating? Let me know how it works...

I momentarily had serious thoughts about trading my 996 in for a Ferrari 360 yesterday. The 360 had an unknown maintenance history and the seller seemed kinda sketchy so quickly talked myself out of it.

I couldn't rationalize getting rid of my perfectly dialed in car that needs nothing for a car that I know nothing about. Also, I like 911s too much. If I ever get a Ferrari it will have to be when I can afford to have one of those AND a 911 in the garage with it.

That's when passion gets in the way of reason.

You chose well.
