As you were saying, I got to drive your car the other day. The sushi, very good. The car - even better.
I'd never driven an X50 before, nevermind with Sam's tuning. The turbos came on much softer than mine do, but they build in such a linear way and just keep pulling and pulling all the way up, whereas my K16 billets from Markski hit like a freakin' hammer, but don't have quite the same steam near the top. I'd say mine is a little scarier when you punch it but, but Andrew's is much more of a situation where you just hold on and before you know it, you're going WAY faster than you thought and it won't let up.
I also got to try the BBi clutch slave "fix," finally. It felt much better than my previous GT2 setup. Still stiff, but not nearly as stiff as the GT2. I'd say it's more like 65% to the GT2 side of the spectrum, but very good.
Overall, interesting to see the different setups side by side.

Installed my new-to-me CF Wheel & Brake Lever, and swapped in the updated Beru coilpacks. What a HUGE difference. The car is a lot smoother throughout the rev range. The old packs were original, but showed no signs of cracking. Spark plugs were replaced about 3500 miles ago by the selling dealer. The car had been a bit rough at cold start, and occasionally when cruising at low rpms......After the first test drive, both of those symptoms are gone. Now hopefully my MPG will improve as well.
Highly recommend that all new owners with original hardware change plugs and coils as one of their first maintenance items.

And just like that I scooped a set of k24 turbos to have made hybrid. Once they come back I will sell my k16 hybrids to recoup some money…

I am a huge fan of Markski, so whatever secret sauce he has, I want it.
They are Markski Tuning K16s. They are great turbos. But now that I moved to TX, I have a lot more room to stretch my legs…
