My 3rd turbo and my 3rd alternator replacement. Have had success with the $120 units off Amazon but went with Bosch Replacement on this one from FCP because it's next day shipping for me.

I'm not complaining at all, 180k on an auto box in a car like this fairly impressive. How many clutches would a manual box have used up? Probably four clutches by now.
The tip currently runs fine on the street in all gears and runs fine on the track as long as I stay away from 2nd. It doesn't even get that hot. Last time out at Lime Rock using only 3rd and 4th I got to: 190F water, 238F oil, 210F tiptronic. I'm not the fastest out there, I'm not the slowest either.

Is it me or do these cars eat front cv boots?
In 5 years I've changed inner and outer at least twice and the left inner has split again.

I changed all 4 fronts on my 180k mile car last year, all 4 rears this year. All 8 of them on my 35k mile car are original and in great shape. I think the aftermarket boots are to blame, they just don't seem to hold up. Next time I am going to use OEM boots and see what happens.

I've had aftermarket rubber CV boots from local parts store installed for like 5 years, no issues. Driven everywhere.

After five years (almost 6) I replaced the battery. Good thing too as the bolt holding the bracket had rusted and I had trouble getting it out - all good now

Do you use a battery tender/charger?

Yes - but Florida heat kills batteries pretty quickly here.

That's why I was pretty happy about it. I only got 2 years out of the last boat batteries (non AGM) seems like the AGM's I get at least another year - sometimes 18 months.

Just found my new, unused boost test kit that I ordered from Markski over the winter. Who wants it? Best offer!

Definitely nicer than my $5 plastic plug testers! A bit overkill, but five times nicer? Ten times nicer? Maybe! Just because I'm a tool *****.

How about $50 shipped?
